Reuters Maintains Journalistic Standards

(A Precision Guided Humor Assignment)
In their eagerness to shout “Dismal failure!” about the war, the Reuters news service blindly swallowed claims by Iraqi terrorists that they had video footage of them capturing a downed helicopter.
Well, they DID have footage – unfortunately the time stamp on it was March 19, 2000, and it was probably of a helicopter crash in Afghanistan.
So I guess I shouldn’t have been TOO surprised over their coverage of the latest criticisms of Donald Rumsfeld (in the extended entry)…

By the way, the “INSIDE” quote from the General is… well, let’s just say “fake, but accurate“. [see third paragraph from bottom]

  1. Why must everyone always misquote BatBoy? Every time a scapegoat is needed, they pull out those phony quotes about “BatBoy said this” and “BatBoy said that.” BatBoy is retired and just trying to lead a normal life in the small town of Richmond,Indiana, where he spends his days reading, taking long walks, doing charity work and occasionally biting the heads off of chickens. Why can’t everyone just let him be already?

  2. Na, that’s just an example of one of the 72 virgins you get when you martyr yourself for Allah. Seems many of the same virgins get passed along from martyr to martyr without being used.
