Gillibrand seems to be the Democrat’s response to Palin, but it’s interesting to not they couldn’t actually find a liberal Palin and the best they could do is a blue dog Democrat (if you’re wondering where that term came from, it’s that holding conservative views and being a Democrat often causes a mild form of insanity, once famously manifesting itself in a centrist Democrat painting his dog blue).
They have Nancy Pelosi, who is even more popular than ants at a picnic.
My name is John McCain and I’m getting really really mad!
A guy sucks one c**k and he’s a c**k sucker the rest of his life! ! All I did was reach across the aisle and now all you pricks on the right are ignoring me!!! You just wait… I’ll be back…
Right now, I’d go for a Congress full of Blue Dogs. They’d stop this stimulus nonsense like yellow jackets at a barbecue. (Yours was funnier, Number One.)
It’s only 8:45 PST and I already need a drink.
Just add whiskey to your coffee, cuchieddie. You’ll get the even-keel benefit of the alcohol with a caffeine booster. Good any time of day, it produces a wide-awake drunk that’s perfect for dealing with our situation.
By the way, your clock is slow.
IMO this is just fanciful thought and the Blue Dogs are mostly myth.
Some Democrats campaign conservatively to get elected. This is especially true today on abortion and gay marriage.
Some Republicans campaign as liberals on one important issue or another.
The media likes to devise colorful names and imaginary “what if” stories about them.
In Washington neither group has influence. Most are quickly seduced into the Washington lifestyle and behave to get favors from the leadership. Meanwhile they, of course, publicly still support the principles that got them elected.
Gillibrand only got into Congress in 2006. She seems smart and tough and may be a good Senator.
Don’t get too excited, folks. She already said her position on gun control (100% NRA rating) “will evolve” after meeting with Schmuck Schumer and being set straight. Watch for similar evolution on taxes, bailouts, forced unionization, aid to Hamas…
As I said before, cynic that I am, I don’t believe it. I’m not sure what the “Demons” are trying to pull here but since the author of lies runs their party ……..just saying.
It’s always a good idea to know which side you’re working for.
Here’s one the “Demons” major problems. Since they don’t believe in a Higher Power (except Gaia) they don’t believe in the Devil. Hence they don’t believe in sin and they don’t see that they are ripening toward destruction.
God will only be pushed so far and then …………. Sodom and Gomorrah ring a bell, Elijah and the priest of Baal, mayhaps.(1Kings 18, this is a great event. My favorite part is when Elijah mocks the priests by saying “Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.” Who said prophets don’t have a sense of humor.)
God will only be pushed so far and then …………. Sodom and Gomorrah ring a bell,
That’s been my thinking too A LOT lately, #8. The way this country has been going downhill and away from God for the past half-century (at least), sometimes I’d like to see God wipe the slate clean and start over.
I know he told Noah the He’d never destroy the Earth again, but IIRC He did specify “by water.” And BTW, he destroyed Earth in Noah’s time because a majority of those folks acted, well, a lot like the entitlement and hedonistic classes are acting today.
The Great Depression was preceded by “The Roaring Twenties”.
Flappers, speak-easys, reefer-madness, burlesque theatres, conspicuous consumption, Robber Barons, monopolies … folks figured we were going to hell in a handbasket back then too.
After a decade of poverty. high unemployment, riots, gang warfare and dustbowls, followed by World War II and the Korean War (Democrat administrations) the country elected Eisenhower (Republican) and got back on an even keel (for a while).
Elijah got discouraged too,
“I have been very jealous for the LORD, the God of hosts; for the people of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thy altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.”
I Kings 19:14
But God wasn’t through with Elijah or Israel;
“… you shall anoint Haz’ael to be king over Syria; and Jehu the son of Nimshi you shall anoint to be king over Israel; and Eli’sha the son of Shaphat of A’bel-meho’lah you shall anoint to be prophet in your place. And him who escapes from the sword of Haz’ael shall Jehu slay; and him who escapes from the sword of Jehu shall Eli’sha slay. Yet I will leave seven thousand in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Ba’al, and every mouth that has not kissed him.”
I Kings 19:15-18
And if things get extreme, remember;
Daniel 4:16-18
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed’nego answered the king, “O Nebuchadnez’zar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace; and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up.”
Down with the ‘O’ king!
