I’m grateful that my cousin, currently Stationed at Ft. Hood, was not in the Deployment Readiness Area, as he’s already served two tours in Iraq, and is thus safe. Good new amidst the terrible.
My Prayers are with the Soldiers and families at Ft. Hood, for the Army as a whole and for our Armed Forces that comfort and justice be granted them. My prayers are also that Law Enforcement and Government seek Justice and prevent this from happening again. Also that God would turn hardened hearts soft again and bring our “leaders” a true sense of Leadership, Stewardship, Justice, Truth and Morality.
I pray he bring these things on the fleet feet of Angels, speeding the things for which I have prayed to those for whom I’ve prayed.
I’m sorry, I meant to say that he was safe because he wasn’t on deck for deployment, not safe because he’d already served two tours. He’s committed and I’m certain he’d deploy again if ordered and do so with the proper dedication that these Men and Women have in a way few of us will ever understand.
The limited criteria for defining crimes as “terrorrism” and “hate crimes” is beyond my comprehension.
In my way of thinking, if you kill one or more innocent people, it qualifies as hate and if you do it in such a way that attempts to instill fear into one or more people, it should be terrorism.
I say this qualifies as both.
I truly pray that our military leadership has relieved every Muslim in uniform of their weapons until this is settled! And I hope the rest os our men and women at all military bases are armed to the teeth!
