The revolution will be televised, but it will be up against American Idol.
You can try and come up with reasons why your job is better than those of the Mythbusters, but none of them will be very convincing.
I can do anything. I’m an anything-doer (what laymen call an “engineer”).
I’ve always wondered what engineers did. I know what they did in Star Trek but since starships aren’t real I never knew what you guys did.
If diddley-squat was a job, I bet I could be good at that. Probably get me a Czar gig in DC.
I studied engineering for a year; but once I realized I wasn’t going to drive a train, I was out of there.
Most ‘engineers’ do applied Science!, Frank.
And five out of four (5/4) of them have trouble with statistics and can’t do math to save the Obama presidency. Wait. That might be good.
Yeah, engineering is like what Scotty does, only without any resources or management support.
It would be easy if you had a boss like Jim Kirk.
Will the viewers vote for the revolutionary with the weirdest haircut, or the one with real talent?
I get paid to read IMAO.
Got something better than that, engineer boy?
On the up side my current boss is willing to rule out time travel. Kirk never would do that
So Frank J. is ‘The Little Anyting-Doer That Could’?
“I think, I can.” Said the philosopher that worked at the cannery.
”I can do anything.” Helen Reddy thought the same thing. Delusions of grandeur/godhood. I think, therefore I AM
Stefan, here’s what engineers do: If it’s broke, we fix it. If it ain’t broke, we take it apart and make it more efficient.
Who am I?
1) I set up tripods in the middle of busy intersections to study why traffic doesn’t move.
2) If another war breaks out between the states, I get to drive the train.
A) Civil Engineer
The rare Descartes variety of Sweet Potato:
I think therefore I yam.
Bazinga. A little thanksgiving humour.
As an IT guy we take “engineers” and first give them a super massive wedgie then we take them on a Snipe Hunt and then we just give them something shiny to occupy their time and keep them out of the way
ussjc, AMEN my IT Brother!
“I can do anything. I’m an anything-doer (what laymen call an “engineer”).”
Anythiong but troubleshoot a Windows PC… or the software… or anything in which they have to deal with things as they are, not as they feel they should be. Engineer Fail.
Frank, I have been waiting to ask someone this….
WHAT KIND OF TRAIN DO YOU DRIVE?
The only engineers I have ever met that were worth a sh!t drove big long smokin’ diesels….
Thanks GuffyCon. Does this mean that Obama is some sort of (failed) political engineer?
I yam whut I yam?
