[Why the US’ Land is Blocky] (Viewer #324,407)

I’ve looked out enough airplane windows for this to be a question in my head.

Off topic: is the apostrophe after US used correctly to indicate possession in the video’s title? Can you use an apostrophe like that on an abbreviation?

  1. Possessive apostrophe on a plural noun ending in S uses just the apostrophe so grammatically US’ is correct.

However….. it would be equally correct to say US’s because US as an abbreviation is treated as a singular noun and would therefore get the apostrophe s.

So there’s your answer. Sort of.
