Today is the birthday of Frank J. Fleming, the master of the annoying pop-up. It is also the birthday of George III, king of Great Britain from 1760 to 1820, which makes him the third-longest-reigning monarch of England, behind Elizabeth II and Victoria the one and only. George was born in London, June 4, 1738.
So he was six years younger than our own George. That’s not quite younger enough to have had a “get off my lawn” relationship, though.
