Monday Night Open Thread

Nearly everyone hates ads. But, there’s a reason.

I’d never try to tell you what to do — okay, I actually would do that, though I shouldn’t — but I will tell you what I did.

Over at my little blog. If you care. (SPOILER: I don’t use ad blockers; I avoid sites if it’s too much to deal with.)

Anyway, it’s time for you to tell what you think. About anything. The topic is wide open.

You know how it goes. You pick the topic. You talk about it.

Someone else comes along and talks about it, too. Or picks something else. That’s how it works. It’s Monday Night Open Thread, after all.

Who wants to start?

Link of the Day: This Picture Is a Lie and a Fraud

[High Praise! to Hot Air]

About that Time Magazine “crying girl” cover…

Short version:

The kid is standing right next to her mother, and only crying because she’s hungry and tired.
The mom’s husband and 3 other children are still in Honduras.
Mom didn’t tell her husband where she was going. She just took the kid and left.
Mom has been deported back to Honduras before.

Super short version:

The kid is crying because she has a lousy mother.

I’m also partial to a ham & cheese omelet on buttered toast. The trick is to make the omelet square, so it fits without hanging over the edges.
