While I have my issues with Don Henley, I do think he’s a talented musician. And I kinda enjoyed when he skewered news broadcasters several years ago.
What’s been on your mind? Got something you’d like to share? A topic to discuss? It’s Thursday Night Open Thread.
Who wants to start?

Absolutely one of my favorite songs. Rock doing what rock does best.

The embed is not working. This is not what I pasted.
I don’t think we have to worry about him getting back together with Glenn Frey any time soon.
Interesting note: The Eagles are the only back-up band to be inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame before the front performer. (Eagles inducted 1998, Linda Ronstadt inducted 2014.)
I thought Linda was backed by the Stone Poneys?
Or perhaps we should hope he does?
The update to the plugin supports a whitelist. I added the youtube tag to the whitelist. Everything should be okay now.
Oh, and WordPress should interpret a straightforward YouTube link as an item to be embedded in the proper tags. Essentially, just the URL (full, like you post, not the shortened that you see sometimes) on a line by itself should cause WordPress to display it as you are wanting. If the link is with other stuff, it may not appear that way.
For example, you know how zzyzx posts a comment and then a video in a separate comment? He could achieve the same if there was a new line after his comment and before his video link. His device apparently doesn’t make that easy, so he does two comments, because that’s what works. You, though, have the ability to enter separate paragraphs, so you can post a comment followed by a video, or a standalone video with just the link.
I’m not saying don’t use the video short tag, I’m just saying it will work without. But, your bringing it to my attention now means it will work with the plugin update.
Thank you. It was driving me crazy last night because I was simply pasting the link and it was somehow changing it. Once again thank you for your attention to this. It is very much appreciated.
Sounds like Don Henley but looks like Larry Flynt.
According to Craig Kilborn (the first and best host of The Daily Show) Don Henley, “in the early 1980’s, single-handedly sucked all the fun out of rock and roll.”
