Authorities discovered the remains of a missing woman in the jaws of an alligator this week in Houston, prompting an investigation into her cause of death by the city’s Homicide Division Sergeants.

I have a guess, Homicide Division Sergeants.

“Patrol officers located the remains of a woman in the jaws of an alligator in the Horsepen Bayou,

you see . . .

just west of El Dorado Boulevard, while searching the area for a woman reported missing” on Tuesday, Houston police said in a Wednesday release.

Police did not name the woman,

Her parents did that.

who they believe to be in her 60s,

because there are no records of her on file?

but they told KHOU-TV that she went for a walk around 7:30 p.m. Monday and never returned. Her husband reported her missing Tuesday morning.

Quick, isn’t he?

Houston police fatally shot the alligator

… as opposed to … ?

“to prevent it from doing more damage to the remains,” after which a dive team retrieved the remains and the alligator from Horsepen Bayou, according to the Wednesday release.

“At this time, the investigation is pending cause and manner of death, to be determined by an autopsy,” police said.

  1. Gators have always been in that ditch. My kids did practice hikes for high adventure trips along there in a club that used to be called “Boy Scouts” if you can believe a club with a name that bigoted actually existed!

Anyway, forget I said anything. I probably really live in Arkansas, or something.
