According to the Underground tour in Seattle, which used to list “seamstress” as the most popular job for women, despite an almost complete lack of women who sew, one of the most profitable “women” back in the 1890’s was the one “in the black dress”. Just goes to show, Seattle’s BGT roots run deep.
