With the SI Swimsuit Madness ending we get ready next week for our new contest. We are going for…
Bond Girlathon!
All the lovely girls James Bond has, err, interacted with over the years will be covered. There will be some crossover with the Babesleaga as you will see some ladies that competed there and some that will compete in the future. Format will be groups arranged around the Bonds. Connery, Lazenby, Moore, Dalton, Brosnan and Craig. Some of them may be grouped together, I haven’t figured the numbers yet. Each Bond Girl will play each other once and the top girls will advance to the Championship round of a single elimination tournament. The girls will not include the Moneypennys. Reasons. We will get some very minor girls though, some without character names only descriptions. Hey, if he slept with her she’s included. This will all start up next week. Another long running series I hope you will enjoy.
On a James Bond fan site I once stated that Lazenby was the best Bond ever.
Two days later my house was surrounded by an angry mob.
If a Lazenby co-star wins the contest, I’m going to assume the contest was rigged.
Cute, but our voting is on the up and up.
Okay, I am going to say that I think this comment deserved a bit more bacon. While On Her Majesty’s Secret Service is not a great film, and Lazenby was not the ideal Bond, his co-star in the film is widely considered among the top Bond girls, so it would not really be a surprise if Diana Rigg takes the prize.
I know, if you have to explain a joke, it obviously wasn’t all that good to begin with, but maybe a bit of background would be of assistance in this case.
Joke was received just a smirky reply.
Updating a bit. We will have two large groups of 40 and 41 girls. Group 1 will be Connery and Brosnan and group 2 will be Lazenby, Dalton, Craig and Moore. Top 16 from each group to advance to the single elimination round.
Don’t forget Ursula Andress, Joanna Pettet, Daliah Lavi, and Deborah Kerr from Casino Royale in 1967 (the forgotten Bond movie).
I’ve decided not to include them as that version is not really considered part of the series. I’ll think about it though. Andress is in anyway from Dr. No.
Are you including Never Say Never Again?
Yes.
There is also the 1954 TV adaptation of the novel which is not included either.
