My first computer. In all its 4k glory.
Christmas 1981. Set dad back $300, but he was convinced that computers were the future, and he wanted me to have a leg up.
I got a 10-speed Schwinn Collegiate bicycle for Christmas when I started high school. I knew that my parents couldn’t afford much that year, so I was blown away by the gift. I rode it all over town, and even across the San Fernando Valley to attend college. I got their money’s worth from that one.
It had to be when my doctor cured me of some weird std my very first girlfriend gave me. What a bummer.
