Saw this photo in the Yahoo! News Mideast Conflict gallery:

Mannequins, with headbands of the Palestinian Fatah party, are displayed in a clothing shop during a parade of newly deployed Fatah militia in the West Bank town of Tulkarem Sunday June 4, 2006. The Fatah movement of moderate Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas deployed the new militia, in a show of force against the militantly anti-Israel Hamas government. The new unit, which Fatah officials said numbers 2,500 members, is the movement’s answer to a militia of 3,000 Hamas activists that the government deployed last month over Abbas’ objection. When they blow themselves up in crowds of Jewish women and children mannequins, do they get seventy-two virgin mannequins in Dummy Paradise? Do the mannequins in their manufacturer’s lot get pensions in honor of their shaheed puppet-brother?
Or is this proof that the cut-off of Western aid and subsidies to the Palestinian Authority has caused the terrorist groups to lay off “human” (I use that term loosely) munitions in favor of cheaper solutions?

Ha! First, you Imperialist Swine! Those are trained agents quietly biding their time until they leap into action! Hah!
Say…. since when did the Fatah sooper secret, highly trained, non-moving for weeks at at a time agents get anglo noses and blonde hair….
No, Someone here figured that one out a while back. It’s not 72 virgins.
You get one 72 year old virgin for pointless martyrdom.
OMG, your right Infidel Castrol, they’ve successfully infiltrated the Swedish mannequin population.
Hey everyone, remember to wish Frank a happy birthday!
uhhh….why is an anti-Hamas movement in Palestine bad?
Israel invaded palestine in an illegal war.
1. Define “Palestine.”
2. When did Israel invade Palestine (as defined in question 1)?
3. How was said invasion illegal?
Israel invaded Palestine in an illegal war? That’s news to me,…and here I thought you had to be a country to have your military invade another country.
Okay, I’m done being sarcastic.
Here’s the reality:
After World War I, territory in Palestine was placed under the control of the British(that’s you guys, not us, just so we’re clear) by the League of Nations, which the Congress in America declined to join.
Then, after World War II (you know, the Holocaust, genocide, attempt to kill off all Jews on the face of the Earth?) the need for a Jewish homeland was pretty obvious – as Jews fleeing Nazi Germany were turned away due to immigration policies by basically every country they tried, including America and Britain.
So, anyway, the Jews needed a homeland; the British decided to send them to Palestine, where Israel had been before it was taken over by a series of ACTUAL imperialists you know, countries with “empire” at the end of their name (come to think of it, didn’t I read somewhere about the British Empire? hmmmm).
Well, the British couldn’t work out a deal that would satisfy either the Jews or Arabs, so they handed the problem off to the United Nations (you’ll notice America’s still not really involved). The U.N. divided Palestine into Jewish and Arab portions, and the British pulled out of Palestine. The Jews declared that the Jewish portion was to be called Israel and was recognized as an independent nation by most western powers, but the surrounding Arab powers didn’t recognize the new nation and invaded with the claim of filling a vacuum of governmental authority. (that’s right, the Palestinians invaded Israel, not the other way around) Ultimately, they lost that war. But they’ve basically been fighting ever since, and Israel has grown smaller and smaller as land is seized by military or ceded in peace talks.
As for your claim that we “encourage this stuff”, you can kiss my ass.
Nothing can justify what they did on that day (particularly not the loss of a few miles of desert), and the fact that you try to pin the blame for the death of those innocent people, and the 343 men and women who rushed in to try to save them, on us and more importantly those who died, makes me sick.
And mabye if you’d shut your limey mouth we could all enjoy our sunday.
Do a little research you moron. You might find out that Prescott’s “dealings” with the Nazi party were 1. not illegal (until 6 days after the bombing of Pearl Harbor when President Roosevelt signed the Trading With the Enemy Act) and 2. his “affiliation” with the Nazi’s consisted of one share of stock that was seized by the government for the duration of the war.
Yea ol’ Prescott was really throwin his weight behind the Nazis.
Now I’m Amazed,
Digging up Georges Grandpa. That’s pretty far out there. Wait, sins of the Grandfather. Hmmm–How many generations did you say they were cursed.
And I’ll shut my limey mouth whe you pitiful little yanks leave the rest of the world alone.
In the words of John Hawkins:
Every time I see a disingenuous representative of the Saudi government talking about how much his government loves the US or some stupid Palestinian blowing himself up while his mother declares that he’s a hero, I just want to wash my hands of the whole damn planet — and to be able to let Africa and Latin America fend for themselves would be a dream as well. You don’t know how much I’d love to hear Bush say, “Well, I guess Zimbabwe and Argentina created their own problems so it’s their responsibility to come up with a solution.” Oh, and how sweet it would be to tell the United Nations and everyone in the EU except for Britain to take a hike. Let them figure out how to deal with the next Somalia or Bosnia without our help–
If we actually did kick back in our hammocks for a ten-year rest, the Middle East would explode, Taiwan would get swallowed by China and France and Germany would probably be at each other’s throats again. Hell, if we took twenty years off it wouldn’t surprise me to look at a map and see nothing but a giant swath of China red covering all of Europe, skulls & crossbones covering all of Africa, and nothing but a green patch with the words “Forbidden Zone” where the Middle East used to be. We’re the only thing keeping the planet from reverting back to an early 1800’s style plunder, war, and rampage philosophy.

Let me save MFL and AB the trouble of responding to MS’s totally true post:
NO! NO! YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND! IT’S THE BUSH FAMILY’S FAULT! IF THAT DAMN PRESCOTT BUSH HADN’T OWNED THAT ONE SHARE OF STOCK IN UBC THEN THE HOLOCOST COULD HAVE BEEN AVERTED! AND CHINA ISN’T A THREAT AND AND AND AND AND BUSH IS EVIL! THATS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW. NO NEED TO DO ANY REAL RESEARCH, OR LOOK AT ANYTHING OBJECTIVELY! E-V-I-L
Peace, MFL and/or the amazingly stupid brit
Prescott Bush did not have the influence to be the deciding factor if Hitler would rise to power or not. That doesn’t excuse him on those grounds, its just foolish to act like that was what brought hitler to power.
If anything brought him to power, it was the condtions that England and France placed upon Germany after WWI, which was opposed by the U.S.
Though I do like that you’ve moved entirely away from what happened in the middle east as soon as a timeline was brought up by someone else that showed the most involved groups outside the region were England and the U.N.
Amazed Brit, I think you said this:
What a shame that your current president’s grandad funded them. Maybe if Prescott Bush had kept his hand in his pocket none of it would have happened.
Which means he claimed he was responsible. Which means you are a lying sack of crap. Which is pretty obvious to all of us here.
Well, coked-out “Brits” regardless, the dummy 72 virgins and all that was a brilliant post, Laurance. I also love how everything about the dummies is western except the headbands, and that one of them looks more like a blindfold.
