Big Election Night!
It’s like presidential election night is here again, except it’s only a year since Obama took office. If Brown wins tonight, it will be hard to overstate how huge that is; it will be the biggest upset since Miracle on Ice — except this victory will be against opponents dedicated to the destruction of capitalism. Hell, a close election in the most reliably liberal state for the seat held by the most reliably liberal Democrat would have spelled doom for Democrats, but a win will mean wailing and gnashing of teeth. If Ted Kennedy were still alive, this would kill him.
There’s not too much to say before we know the results, but I’ll probably be on Twitter all night recording my thoughts. I know some of you don’t like Twitter because of… whatever, but it’s finally something on the internet the Republicans have an advantage in. We’re the young, motivated party rebelling against the system, now! Down with the machine, man!
Anyway, key things to keep in mind this election night:
* No matter what Dems say, this is a big referendum on Obama and his suckitude. The only reason it’s close in Massachusetts and the Democrats have to spend millions there is Obama’s overwhelming crappiness and the horrible policies of the Democrats.
* It’s quite obvious the liberal realignment of 2008 is already was past its peak. Yes, things only gets worse for liberals from here.
* If Republicans can win in Massachusetts, that pretty much means they’ll have a shot everywhere in 2010.
* Though we should expect election night shenanigans from the Democrats, the Dick Cheney Assassination Squad has vowed to monitor voting.
* Squirrels have fluffy tails.
* I’m not really a political analyst. I don’t know what key things to keep in mind.
Anyway, keep your fingers crossed. I really want to gloat big tomorrow.

I stopped reading when you mentioned “Twitter”.

You’re not an “analysis” either. But that’s OK. I are an engineer, too.
(Now watch Frank fix the word and make a complete fool of me!)

LOL here, Mr. President of 2016.
January 19th, 2010 at 4:08 pm
I think Frank would make a great commentator/analyist on teevee with MarcosMancuuso. When Olberman and Tingles Matthews and Rachel Mandow open their pie holes we would watch, enthralled, at three hippies get megapunched in the face. Time for some twofisted commentating/

Wednesday morning phone call between DNC Chair Tim Kaine and
MarciaMartha Coakley -Kaine: What were you THINKING?!?!? Your campaign was a bigger disaster than the Rosie O’Donnel Variety Show! What kind of a candidate are you?
Coakley: Actually, I’m not a politician…but I did stay at a Holliday Inn Express last year.

It’s like Sox/Yanks here. Turn out is big where I am…
January 19th, 2010 at 4:38 pm
I’m with MarcoMancuso. Two things will lose me immediately. One is Twitter and the other is Face Book. I am in hopes that Brown will win though.
January 19th, 2010 at 4:39 pm
Excuse me Mr. Marcuso. I spelled your name with a “c” instead of a “k.” Apologies to you.
January 19th, 2010 at 4:47 pm
this is a big referendum on Obama and his suckitude.
I like that statement. FrankJ can’t wait till you can run for president.

Speak for yourself, whippersnapper. I’m the old fart yelling “Down with the commie politicians!” and “No more taxes!” and “Get a haircut!”

“Is it not time to awake from the deceitful dream of a golden age, and to adopt as a practical maxim for the direction of our political conduct that we, as well as the other inhabitants of the globe, are yet remote from the happy empire of perfect wisdom and perfect virtue?”
Federalist Papers #6
“this is a big referendum on Obama and his suckitude.”

I wonder if the 2012 election is going to be spun as “not a referendum on obama”

THE KENNEDY CURSE HAS BEEN REVERSED!!!!!
January 19th, 2010 at 9:44 pm
Here is some clever Brown lines from this election that Steyn noticed.
“It’s not Ted Kennedy’s seat, it’s the people’s seat”: Brilliant. Popular democracy vs the House-of-Lords Democrats.
“Scott Brown believes in evolution, but in the case of Bob Kerrey he’s willing to make an exception”: Lovely. A genial throwaway response to a demented line of attack that makes the attacker look ridiculous.
“The leader of the free world is talking about my truck”: Bullseye.

ALL HAIL SCOTT BROWN DESTROYER OF THE KENNEDY CURSE!!!!!!!
January 19th, 2010 at 9:47 pm
Today is my birthday. I got what I wanted. I’m no longer afraid to admit I’m from MASSACHUSETTS. Yee-haw!
January 19th, 2010 at 9:48 pm
I’m now listening to the Coakley speech. Let the party begin!!!
January 19th, 2010 at 9:48 pm
Sorry not quite yet.
January 19th, 2010 at 9:50 pm
This just in…………. Martha has conceded the election. Scott (for all intents and purposes) is the Senator Elect from the Great State of Massachusetts. John Adams and his cousin Sam will be hosting a party in his honor, all the founding fathers and mothers will attend.
I think the Silent Majority finally spoke up, and the Sleeping Giant is now wide eyed and bushy tailed. Praise the Lord and pass the blog posts.

Looks like Mass just found the elusive “Brown-note” The one that makes liberals crap their pants.
January 19th, 2010 at 9:55 pm
ROTFLMAO 22shiggz! From the look on the governor’s face I think he fell victim first
January 19th, 2010 at 9:56 pm

“The leader of the free world is talking about my truck”
The perfect ending to the One’s B+ year.
January 19th, 2010 at 10:03 pm
HEY LIBTARDS CAN YOU HEAR US NOW!!!!
January 19th, 2010 at 10:23 pm
Just remember, Scott Brown is a Massachusetts Republican. While he’s 10 times better than a Dimocrat,
anything more conservative than Collins and Snow of Maine is a MAJOR upgrade.
Can’t wait to see OlberDork’s and Chrissy Matthews’ heads explode.

In other breaking news: Hell freezes over, and snowballs now have a chance in Hell.
