Is Ron Paul the Future of the GOP?

I argue he is in my latest Pajamas Media column as I love to argue ridiculous things. Go read it and be educated!

  1. Whenever I try to post an insightful comment in response to your articles there, Frank, my head grows heavy and my sight grows dim.

I do welcome our Jew overlords, but I wish they would give me some Tylenol.

  2. The problem with Ron Paul, Turtle, is that his foreign policy would only work if there were two nations in this world; the USA and Monaco. I would not be shocked if his foreign policy ended up as bad or worse than the one used by Obama’s morons in Foggy Bottom.

  3. Is Jew-Master like View-Master?

Also for me there is a big difference between the Knesset/ Most Hollywood Jews (not counting Lewis Black and Orthodox Jews. One I back to the hilt the other Lets sell them to Iran for some oil. Then they can find out how morally equivalent Christianity is with Islam.

  4. While I agree with Ron Paul on some domestic issues, his isolationist stand to foreign policy simply doesn’t work. If isolationism didn’t work at all in the 30s and 40s, when travel to other parts of the world was measured in days or even weeks, why would it work in a time when you can be just about anywhere in the world with one change of planes in less than a day?

  5. Say what you will about Ron Paul and their is a lot of you can say about some of his supporters. But, in the 08 debates he was arguing about hollowing out our economy through out-sourcing and an unstable dollar. The rest of the guys were arguing capital gains tax

In 2008 the global economy hit an Iceberg, the Republican plan was to “speed up.” the liberal plan was to add water to the other half of the boat “to even it out”. America voted for the liberal plan.

  6. Turtle, the problem with the “Gold Standard” is history. The “Gold Standard” is about as documented as FAIL as something can be, given the multiple historical instances of currency crisis that comes from using a metallic standard. All currency is fiat currency, period end. Whether it is a paper dollar, a crappy metallic coin or a gold coin, that currency is fiat – the government says it is legal tender for transactions and thus it is. Gold does have a nominal intrinsic value, semi-conductor and shielding. (Jewelry, being a luxury item, we will leave aside for now.) Beyond that, gold has value only so long as people are willing to trade goods and services for it. A Mole of oxygen, a nutritionally balanced calorie, a liter of drinkable water, a cord of firewood, a bale of wool…..these all have far more instrinsic value to survival than gold.

“But I can use gold to buy those things, or things to trade for those things…..” Only so long as people are willing to trade those things for gold. If that sounds familiar, that is because it is the same with silver, with a paper dollar or with a handful of conch shells. Currency was developed to be a portable medium of exchange to store the value of goods and services. Far easier and more convenient to sell your bushel of wheat for a few coins, which you then trade to the rancher for a cow than to haul your wheat all that way to trade direct with the rancher. That is the reason that every form of currency (including gold and silver) goes through an inflationary or deflationary crisis in cycle – at a certain point, the folks that hold the items of true instrinsic (food, water, fuel, clothing) decide they are no longer going to trade their intrinsic value items for gold, silver, paper currency or the painted beads.

At the end of the day, when everything has gone wrong, if you can’t eat it, can’t drink it, can’t burn it, can’t wear it or breathe it, then it has no absolute intrinsic value and is therefore fiat.

  7. Ron Paul’s foreign policy was outdated with the invention of the steamship, and the birth of ther church of marxisim. I had a freind who was a True Believer in all things Ronulan (including the belief that the Fed was run by Jews and Catholics) and thought “they” really were beaming thoughts in his head. He is now in prison for killing a family member he thought was part of the conspiracy. On this one, Frank your sarcasam is true to life.

  8. In order to save the nation, I’ve decided to throw my hat into the GOP Presidential campaign. Here are my Top Ten “positions” on the important issues:
1-Beer. It’s not just breakfast, brunch, mid-morning snack, early lunch, lunch, mid-afternoon snack, supper, dinner, mid-evening snack, late-evening snack, midnight snack and 3 AM in the morning snack anymore!
    2-Cinco de Mayo. See #1
    3-Ron Paul!
4-Cushy jobs for all my faithful followers who send me a big enough check.
5-Make Frank J Minister Of T-Shirts so Marko (My new Minister Who Makes War) and myself can finally get the t-shirts we want. That’s the Nuke The Moon and Fred Thompson Punch The Hippies shirts, Frank.
6-Make Fred Thompson my Vice President. Of course, he’d be the one really and charge while I play the figurehead.
7-Beer. It’s not just, oh wait, I already said that.
8-Move the capital of the US to Arizona.
9-We Nuke The Moon to celebrate my inauguration.
    10-Liberals, it’s what’s for dinner.

  9. I don’t think he would be any bigger loser than the incompetent we have now. At least he might hire folks who know what they’re doing, or aren’t hoods, thugs and SEIU union members (wait that’s an oxy-moron, sorry)

  10. The I.Q. chart reads as follows:

-1- lowest are liberals / democrats

    -2- middle are republicans.

-3- highest average IQ lie with the Libertarians

That is just how it is. Oi Franky I can tell you are a software kind of guy. At best you are a digital engineer. In no way are you an RF designer.

  11. Cilla, it is hard for me to imagine anyone as incompetent, arrogant and down right evil as the current coven in charge but I bow to your personal experience. Oh and trolls have tirades, we posters are simply passionate about our beliefs.
