* Guess who has a column in the New York Post today?
No, Guess again.
Yes; it’s me! You’re getting better at this. So everyone go read it and then like it on Facebook or tweet it or what not. Just tell everyone about it. Go stand on the side of the street shouting, “Frank J. Fleming is good fun writer number one!” The rest of Nuke the News will wait until you’re done.
* Hey, know what this economy teetering on the verge of a recession needs? A MASSIVE TAX INCREASE. Yes, Obama is proposing $1.5 trillion in new taxes. And who thinks a MASSIVE TAX INCREASE is a great idea in a failing economy? ABSOLUTELY NO ONE!
Still, I’d like to see him sell this to the Republicans.
OBAMA: “I’m just going to increase spending while raising taxes on the rich. It’s a plan that comes straight from one of the Republican greats: HERBERT HOOVER.”
Many people think Obama doesn’t expect any of this to pass as it’s just political maneuvering for 2012, and I hope so. This isn’t just economic suicide, it’s like a really nasty suicide where you stab yourself repeatedly in the stomach.
* Obama assures us his taking money away from job creators and giving it to the money wasters in D.C. isn’t “class warfare — it’s math.” Well here’s some more math:
Bad economic situation + Obama = EVEN WORSE ECONOMIC SITUATION!
Current conditions + Massive new taxes = JUST SHOOT US!
Economy – Obama = BIGGEST ECONOMIC RECOVERY EVER!
* Why are all the projections for these things over ten years?
POLITICIANS: “We’ll cut a trillion dollars…”
US: “Yay!”
POLITICIANS: “…over ten years.”
US: “Meh.”
Who else talks like that? “Come work for me and I’ll pay you $400,000… over ten years.”
* It’s not all bad news in this country for President Obama: Violent crime is down for the fourth year in a row.
I can’t think of anything Obama’s done where he can attempt to take credit for that, but, hey, small things.
I thought the left was always saying that poverty causes crime and terrorism? So shouldn’t the bad economy have led to more violent crime?
Sometimes I wonder when the left are talking about other people, they’re really talking about themselves. So when they say poverty causes crime, the liberal means that if he lost his job, he’d become a violent criminal. That’s why we really need to keep an eye on the left.
* Obama supports the post office stopping mail delivery on Saturday. Frankly, they could just deliver mail once or twice a week and that would be fine. As long as Amazon sends my stuff through UPS and I have FedEx for things that I actually need delivered quickly, there’s nothing that comes through regular mail that I’d be waiting day to day for. Let’s just move to get rid of the stupid government monopoly. And with less mail delivery, won’t we use less paper and gas which will help that thing people like. You know, that green thing. What was it? The environment. Get rid of government and help environment.
* Apparently gamers solved a problem about the AIDS virus. Yep, to fight disease, they put video game players to work. So next time SarahK see me playing on my iPad and demands to know what I’m doing, I’ll just say, “I’m only learning how to cure diseases! …and killing green pigs.”
* Wisdom of the Day: “Qwikster sounds like an internet company made up by the oldest writer on staff for a Law & Order episode in 2002.” –Sean Thomason
* Someone sent this to me, and I don’t know what it is but it’s kind of funny:

Of course Obama can take credit for a decrease in violent crime. Look at all the criminals he locked up in the White house press room. And the ones under close police monitoring in the DOJ, AG’s Office, or the office of Budget management. Or he has on work release programs at the FBI… Wait … those are employees of those departments… Never mind…
What do you mean he didn’t do anything? He sent all our guns to Mexico didn’t he?
That Rick Perry video clip sounds like he’s on a bad acid trip, but it makes more sense than anything Obama ever said.
I see your article is on the same page as a picture of Buzz Aldrin. We’re on to you and your little gang of former astronauts, Mr. Nuke The Moon.
BTW I cured AIDS in a video game once. I refused to have sex with another male gnome.
“Had this girl who’s too ugly to ride,
And we were bitter,
This princess in the mustache,
One size fits all,
Everybody hook up… Babe!”
which somehow reminds me of:
“Wouldn’t be prudent.”
“Thousand points of light.”
“Stay the course.”
“Thousand points of light.”
I’m a little fuzzy on this article thing. Could you please elaborate?
I was reading my Post out in the street and there, on the opinion page, was Frank again! Only this time your picture is attached – print version only, not on the online posting which I checked later. And Frank, I really like the picture of you. My favorite blogger/humorist on my favorite paper ! Warning: This message is not to be misconstsrued into any unbecoming developing fattness of heads.
…Violent crime is down for the fourth year in a row.
I can’t think of anything Obama’s done where he can attempt to take credit for that…
Are you kidding? How about this:
“The firearms industry is enjoying brisk-to-robust firearm sales during a time when much of the U.S. economy continues to suffer.” – Shooting Industry Magazine
“Save a pretzel for the gas jets!”
Why is Burmashave no longer capitalized? Things ain’t right here anymore.
violent crime is down for the fourth year in a row? i blame bush.
Ok, so I get through your Post article published in a big time paper by a giant Carnagie Mellon brain…blah, blah, blah and I’m thinkin’…”ok, I’ll post this on Facebook…but then to my bitter disgust…at the bottom of the article is only the very ghey “twitter” (I feel like I’ve seen one or two up close just typing the word) link but no Facebook! Fortunately, I’m a genius and have setup my MAC for a right-click to add stuff to Facebook and went that rout. Just like Machette “don’t text”… ussjimmycarter “don’t Twitter” Ahhhhh…Fabulous!!!!
“Violent crime is down for the fourth year in a row”……could be that lots of people getting free stuff from the govt realize that takes much less effort than going out and stealing it. Most people who work for a living don’t do either one. I think it’s obvious the flash mobs you see ransacking the local 7/11 is done for sport, not out of need. When this obama charade finally ends and the “redistribution” stops is when it will hit the fan. It’s the calm before the storm. Most times when something nasty is coming people nail plywood over their windows or evacuate or something. For this one they’re hoarding ammo. It’s what obama really wants, and just about everybody is playing his game whether they realize it or not.
Elle T. : Even the Obama Bad Lip Reading clip makes more sense than anything else that Obama has ever said…
@Marko: I posted it from a smarty phone. It is obviously not very smart.
“As long as Amazon sends my stuff through UPS and I have FedEx for things that I actually need delivered quickly, there’s nothing that comes through regular mail that I’d be waiting day to day for.”
Umm…how about the New York Post?
I am waiting for the Obama tax tax. He will tax the taxes.
Once?
Violent crime is down for the fourth year in a row- Obama administration credited for ensuring that no one has anything worth stealing.
This isn’t really news, but it’s something I found entertaining. According to a report I read yesterday, the Occupy Wall St. effort has drawn only a tiny fraction of its planned protesters; however, this has not stopped these hippies from trying to milk it. The official site has videos up of alleged police violence:
https://occupywallst.org/article/day4-arrests/
It’s a hoot: “Look! His finger is bleeding!” “His handcuffs are too tight!” “Fight the violence inherent in the system!” “Help! Help! I’m being repressed.”
I should pass along the disclaimer from the site: “Please be warned that the content in the videos may be very difficult to watch.” It was difficult. I wanted to see hippies being punched and tazed, but no joy. I did see an officer draw and extend his night stick, but I don’t think he got to use it. Many kudos to New York’s finest. They have more self discipline than I.
Son of Bob, you got me wondering there, sir. And it looks like the NYPost (like the WSJ and several others) is already operating in post-USPS mode (wait – is that a circular reference?). The print edition subscription form at nypost.com has a little pulldown with delivery options like ” …in bag on doorknob”, in vestibule, through mail slot, to door, driveway, front door, side door, porch… – and even to Mailbox (don’t tell the USPS!). The USPS dialog box would just have 2 pulldowns: “later” and “never”. Hey, maybe those USPS guys can go to work delivering for the NY Post! No, wait, forget I said that…

Looks like the New York Post figured out that if they use smaller type they can fit the whole column on the page intact instead of with the funny stuff cut out!
> Violent crime is down for the fourth year in a row.
Wow. The economy is so bad that Mafia hitmen are being laid off.
Hey!!! The Rick Perry Clip is like DAY JOB ORCHESTRA!!! Hmmmmm, apple juice.
You gotta see the Obama version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwA9PZEWvr8
