[High Praise! to Jimmy]
Straight from the McMillan Firearms Facebook page:

McMillan Fiberglass Stocks, McMillan Firearms Manufacturing, McMillan Group International have been collectively banking with Bank of America for 12 years. Today Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Market Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking came to my office. He scheduled the meeting as an “account analysis” meeting in order to evaluate the two lines of credit we have with them. He spent 5 minutes talking about how McMillan has changed in the last 5 years and have become more of a firearms manufacturer than a supplier of accessories.
At this point I interrupted him and asked “Can I possible save you some time so that you don’t waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer what my business.”
“That is correct” he says.
I replied “That is okay, we will move our accounts as soon as possible. We can find a 2nd Amendment friendly bank that will be glad to have our business. You won’t mind if I tell the NRA, SCI and everyone one I know that BofA is not firearms industry friendly?”
“You have to do what you must” he said.
“So you are telling me this is a politically motivated decision, is that right?”
Mr Fox confirmed that it was. At which point I told him that the meeting was over and there was nothing let for him to say.
I think it is import for all Americans who believe in and support our 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms should know when a business does not support these rights. What you do with that knowledge is up to you. When I don’t agree with a business’ political position I can not in good conscience support them. We will soon no longer be accepting Bank of America credit cards as payment for our products.

Makes me wish I had a B of A credit card just so I could cancel it and tell them why.
Also, I know nothing about McMillan products, so if anyone does, please tell what you know in the comments.
Meanwhile, you can always visit the McMillan web site, hit the “contact us” link, and voice your support.
And if you find out that McMillan products are good quality as well as fitting your personal needs and your budget, buy them.
Then email them to let them know you did.
Morale’s probably a little shaky around the office right now. Having your banker do a rug-yank on you tends to make folks unsettled.
And feel free to drop B of A a line, too, since that’s your tax money they’re refusing to let McMillan have a penny of.
UPDATE: Mxymaster [High Praise!] offers a link to Snopes which evaluated the story as “undetermined”. However the spokesperson only said that B of A has “no policy” against dealing with firearms companies. Well, being under threat by Obama’s knee-breakers technically isn’t a policy, so she didn’t lie.
Also, they mention B of A is still dealing with gun-maker Freedom Group, Inc.
All that means is that FGI hasn’t gotten “the talk” yet. Doesn’t mean it’s not on the way.

Got a squirrely Bank of America issue that no amount of calling and pleading with customer service can resolve? Try kicking it up the poop pile to CEO Brian Moynihan, or one of his trusted slaves:

McMillan makes some of the best rifles in the world. As in top three out there. They cost a pretty penny but are absolutely worth every cent.
The TAC-50 McMillan Tactical Rifle holds the world record for the longest confirmed sniper rifle shot at 2,430 meters. Featured in episode 9 of season three of Top Shot.
Youtube video here
The longest shot was taken by a member of the Black Watch and cost about 3 dollars for the round as befitting a Scotsman.
I stopped doing business with BofA when it was discovered that they hand out credit cards and accounts to illegal aliens with no SSN’s and no real ability to come after delinquent accounts – they just write them off as a loss and raise the fees on all the customers that ARE playing by the rules.
sounds like atlas shrugged
If this story is really true, it represents a fundamental transformation of America. The implications are breathtaking! Is a conspiracy of this incredible magnitude even possible? Frankly I just can’t quite believe it. The Fast & Furious scandle is evidence that the arrogance of the Obama administration is boundless, but this is far beyond the pale.
I guess the big unanswered question is what was meant here by “politically motivated”: internal politics (say, gun-haters on the Board of Directors) or governmental politics?
And if it’s the latter, how high up the chain was the person who decided B of A needed to be told “McMillan’s got to go”?
The Bank of Amigo strikes again.
If you have a business, no longer accept their cards or do business with them. Avoid business that bank with them or do business with them. Real Americans do not do business with democrats.
Remember if you must pass, wind in their general direction and taunt them a second timea.
Like most real Americans, I quit doing business with them long ago.
McMillan makes some of the best drop in stocks around.
Can’t find any confirmation on their website about this story although it seems to have hit every gun website.
Calvin – The post was originally on their Facebook page, and I’m guessing they make that a bigger priority to keep updated than their web site.
Also, it looks like the “news” section of their site is mostly press releases about their products. I’m not sure this story will ever make it on there.
Here’s the link to the Facebook post.
Sad. BOA appears to have been taken over by the government. Questionable loans, questionable hiring. it is all very strange. It reminds of a restaurant that has been taken over by the mob and is well on it’s way to flaming out. How many taxpayer dollars will go with it?
Cardin – reminds me of that line from “Goodfellas”:
“F-you. Pay me.”

Yeah, that’s not safe for work or children.
BoA handled my AF Reserve’s units travel, TDY and short mission requirements by issuing individual credit cards. Within a week of the cards’ issuance, Reservists, officers and Air Reserve Technician were buying furniture, appliances and groceries with them. Only to be caught and reprimanded, about a year after the facts.
Anyone with half a brain would have put the cards in the unit’s Orderly Room or Operations classified documents vault and attached and activated said cards with those individuals’ travel or TDY orders, shot record, passport and package. Then secured them again once the mission was finished.
My only run in with BoA.
Never liked or trusted the card or its parent company.
I happy to say that I already closed my bofa accounts because of their other dubious business practices. I moved my meager estate to a local credit union that did not take federal monies and through effective management won’t need to (yes I actually researched a bank for the first time in my life…I recommend it). I have to unwind the many subsidiaries of bofa so I can shun them as well.
Snopes has looked into it and the verdict is undetermined. B of A denies it, but I think this could be a situation like when Al Gore’s buddy Leslie Dach took over PR for Walmart and got all progressive, and achieved the impossible: Seven straight quarters of losses for Walmart. These people are idiots.
Anyway, here’s the snopes report:
http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/bankofamerica.asp
McMillan makes the rifle used by the Canadian sniper who holds the record for the world’s longest kill shot.
Sorry, previous record:

As for Snopes, they are lefttards and besides, of course BofA won’t substantiate McMillan’s claim.
“B of A” denies it. Just like they denied trying to foreclose on a house they didn’t hold the mortgage to. The right hand over there doesn’t have a clue what the left hand is doing because they’re all trying to save their jobs by showing how important and effective they are. It’s dog eat dog over there (and again we’re back to Obama and ………….dogs. It’s like 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon, only it’s six degrees of Obamapuppycation.)
McMillan companies have made superior quality stocks, and rilfes, for a long time…. I only wish I could afford one on my salary.
They will have my support, and if I can scrape together the jack, I will be buying something useful from them!
SniperDroid:
I feel your pain. So many guns, so little jack…
A new Cabellas opened in our little corner of Paradise. You can’t even get near the gun counter. So many folks buying handguns, AR’s and scopes, ammunition and the rest. Makes you think people are preparing for something?
You getting all this Janet? Do I need to take it slower or type in smaller words.
I bought all the guns I could when Clinton got elected, so I’m good.
