President Appleseed Knows How to Pick ‘Em

The New York Times Times’s Peter Baker complained that President Trump was “handpicking reporters” to call on during press conferences.

He’s angry about the picking part. He wants Trump to choose the bad apples that have already fallen from the tree and are rotting on the ground.

  1. One of the entertainments I was expecting was our fine media betters frothing at the mouth over Trump doing things that Obama did.

Obama and all his spokestools used to let ‘journalists’ know who he was going to call on before the press conference.

Trump just ignores the fools who are asking questions only they want the answers to.
“Mr Trump, you are racist against Mexicans, why is that?” is just not that important to most of us.

  2. One of the results of reporters taking sides (as most have despite their denials) is not only does the president feel free to ignore them, but also that the public, for the most part, accepts his denigration of them as justified. Reporters think people actually believe that their claims of non-partisanship. But the public knows they are being lied to and conclude, rightly, the the press holds them in contempt. The feeling is made mutual.
