I wear ties every day. Note that I didn’t say every day at work. I like wearing a tie. Because … well, reasons, I suppose.
Well, it’s your turn. It’s Wednesday Night Open Thread and time for you to share what’s on your mind.
Who wants to start?

I thought about starting a movement to ban ties. But then I realized someone would just start a “Black Ties Matter” movement

Here is the story of Herschel the Magnificent Jew which only proves there is no such thing as a Jew without a sense of humor………………..

Speaking of neckties, I recently found a mechanical pencil in my office hallway. “Score” I thought but upon further inspection, I’m not so sure. Although it is a plastic pencil it appears to be of the high-dollar sort. If you include the eraser and graphite it has no fewer than nine parts, but that’s not the problem.
It’s eraser and graphite we’re not present so they would have to be replaced. However the eraser needed is about 1” long as it is made to feed out the rear of the pencil in a “turn screw” mechanism. Not having seen those in the store, that seems like it would be pricey. Lastly, it uses 0.9mm lead and I’m a 0.7mm guy.
So I sez to myself “myself” I sez: Should I invest in refurbishing this wonder if mechanical pencil technology or give up and find another home for it?
After realizing it was the “white elephant” of mechanical pencils the original owner discarded it in the office hallway. The next five people who found it (after examination) put it back in the office hallway.(where they’d found it) you should do the same. He was probably management.
I would think of the benefit of all mankind and offer it to the Mechanical Pencil Museum. https://www.legendaryleadcompany.com/mechanical-pencil-museum.html
Holy Cats!
Carl Sagan was born November 9, 1934. I’m sort of disappointed; I thought that he’d been born billions and billions of years ago.
