  1. Max Planck, the man who gave us Planck’s constant, was born April 23, 1858, in Kiel, in northern Germany. He is also regarded as the father of quantum physics; we know either the location or the mass of the mother, but never both simultaneously, or perhaps that’s Heisenberg’s parents I’m thinking of.
