I Liked It Better Than “Turnabout Intruder” – Although I Can Also Say That About a Dentist Visit Sans Anesthesia

[The Adventures of the U.S.S. Parkview: A Star Trek Fan Production] (Viewer #11,435)

What really saved this is that the kids did at least a B+ job of delivering their lines. Also, it’s only 5 minutes long.

Sorta reminds me – in a broad, conceptual way – of an abbreviated version of Errand of Mercy

Icebreaker: What Was the Funniest Moment in Your Life?

Having finished “The 25 most popular icebreaker questions based on four years of data” and enjoyed the results, I’m moving on to a new list:

76 Fun Icebreaker Questions (Not all of which will be used, since some are either/or questions, which are boring.)

Your mission: answer the question in the comments with a good story.

If you don’t have a good story, you are encouraged to make one up.

What was the funniest moment in your life?

Once, a girl I know – not the brightest crayon in the box – wanted to borrow $20 from me, and she promised to pay me back $25 in three days when she got paid.

I calculated the annual interest rate on that to be roughly 3000%, and said “that’s usurious”.

She said, “yes, I’m serious”.

Big words were not her friend.

Political Satire Is Dead

I was on The Michael Knowles Show talking about my favorite subject: Sidequest: In Realms Ungoogled. I also talk about how political satire is dead.

BTW, for some reason my new novel has gotten some bad ratings on Audible and no where else. I don’t know why; I’ve been listening to it and the narrator is awesome (almost as awesome as the story). If you have the audiobook, I’d appreciate you rating it and writing a review. Also, I’ll be giving out some codes for free audiobook copies in my next newsletter.

Thanks to everyone who has bought Sidequest so far. Hope you’re all enjoying it.
