Monday Night Open Thread

I like movies. Sometimes, scary movies are good. But they can be scary.

But a good scary movie is exact that: scary.

Today, most movie makers think it means showing blood and guts and gross stuff. Scary isn’t bloody or gross. At least, it doesn’t have to be. It just needs to be scary.

The thing is, making movies like that take some thought. And nobody has time for that anymore.

You know what else takes some thought? Surviving a scary movie. Harvey has put some thought into it. Go read.

Icebreaker: What Irritates You The Most?

Having finished “The 25 most popular icebreaker questions based on four years of data” and enjoyed the results, I’m moving on to a new list:

76 Fun Icebreaker Questions (Not all of which will be used, since some are either/or questions, which are boring.)

Your mission: answer the question in the comments with a good story.

If you don’t have a good story, you are encouraged to make one up.

What irritates you the most?

More than anything else, I think it’s the sprinkle in #16 of this list of “Infuriating Images That Will Trigger You“.

Also, the fact that someone on the internet apparently knows how to trigger me.
