Not in Danger of Tipping Over

[Guam Explained] (Viewer #1,982,808)

My Navy Retiree brother Roy was actually stationed on Guam with his family for a few years. It’s… pretty dreary there. The crushed coral that they make the roads out of gets slippery as ice when it rains, and the speed limit is 35 everywhere even on a good day.

Also, milk was $7 a gallon, because EVERYTHING has to be imported across 1000+ miles of ocean to get there.

Icebreaker: What Was the Worst Present You’ve Received?

Having finished “The 25 most popular icebreaker questions based on four years of data” and enjoyed the results, I’m moving on to a new list:

76 Fun Icebreaker Questions (Not all of which will be used, since some are either/or questions, which are boring.)

Your mission: answer the question in the comments with a good story.

If you don’t have a good story, you are encouraged to make one up.

What was the worst present you’ve received?

Because I liked both coffee and chocolate, someone once gave me chocolate covered coffee beans. Which are the worst of both worlds, since you can neither eat them (because they taste bitter, gritty, and horrible) nor drink them (the chocolate just gunks up your grinder).

Might as well give an umbrella stand to someone who likes both elephants and parasols.

Sidequest: In Realms Ungoogled

“Frank, why don’t you blog anymore?”

This is why. This is where I’m putting my writing time. Into novels.

“But your last novel came out years ago.”

Well, after that was released, my creative energy was used up by– Know what? Let’s not get into that. I have a new novel, and I plan from now on to release books at a fairly regular pace from now on.

So, anyway, here is my favorite thing I have written thus far: Sidequest: In Realms Ungoogled

Oh, and despite what that says, the audiobook isn’t out yet. It should be very soon. I heard a sample, and it sounds like the narrator was having a lot of fun with the material.

Anyway, this is my great new novel. It’s got fun. It’s got adventure. It’s got humor. It’s got a battle of good and evil. There’s Aquaman references. It’s got everything!

I’m really excited. This is the most me thing I’ve done. It should be like being trapped inside my head — but in a good and not horrific way. But no politics; it’s a nice fun break from that. The only position taken is that evil is bad and good is good.

Also, I should mention that a portion of the profits from each purchase of this novel go to the “Send Frank Fleming’s Kids to Disney World Fund.” It’s a very worthy cause that will help countless children.

No, wait, you can count them. It’s three. Three kids will benefit from that.

There’s already a bunch of reviews up if for some reason you don’t trust me that it’s awesome (which offends me). Here’s also a longer review with a bunch of quotes.

I’m so excited you finally get to read this! So go and buy it (and if you have Kindle Unlimited, you already have it!) and give yourself a good day by setting aside some time to read it. And I’d love to hear what you think and what your favorite parts are.
