What’s your favorite place of all the places you’ve traveled?
I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Christmas in Singapore was pretty cool, too. All the stores decorated for it, but its not really a native holiday. It added a strange flavor to a familiar event.

Paris. Scoff if you like – but it really is a beautiful city and easy to live in. At least it was 16 years ago.

We’ll, if we’re talking scoffables, I spent 2 years in the San Francisco Bay area, which I found to be fun and scenic. As long as I just did sightseeing and shopping and ignored local politics, I had a blast.
Liberals we’re a lot less noisy during the Reagan years. I assume it was because the Russian threat was direct massive, and imminent, so you really looked like a moron if you mocked the man who was trying to keep the Bear from nuking our doorstep.

Ha! When I was there, the corner of Haight & Ashbury was an overpriced coffee shop. Capitalism won.
Don’t know what’s there now. Probably a vacant lot covered with homeless.
