I just love Weird Al!
I’ve been listening to him from the beginning. I heard him when he played “Another One Rides The Bus” live on the Dr. Demento show in 1980. I was 10 years old, and I also played the accordion. He took calls from listeners, and I called in and talked to him for a minute. I told him I also played, and he said “all right! Keep it up!” So, I did. Been playing accordion for 43 years now, and I regularly listen to Al in the morning on the way to work, ’cause singing along with Weird Al is a great way to start the day!
Also, his live performances are just phenomenal.
