What is the scariest thing you have ever done for fun?
There’s a traffic tunnel that connects Oakland and Alameda, and while I was in the Navy & stationed in Alameda, I’d often cross through that thing by riding my bike down the 3-foot wide sidewalk. Handlebars were about 2-feet wide. Leaves about 6 inches clearance on either side. Tile wall on one side, metal railing on the other. Went downhill for 3/4 of a mile, uphill for the other 3/4. No signs or anything. 30 years ago I took my son up there, he was about 8. The next day I showed him a news report about someone falling off and getting killed.
