I don’t know how many AC/DC songs I own. I’d have to look it up, but I don’t think I own any. Maybe one. Or two. But I can’t think of what they’d be. Whatever the number, I own more Glenn Miller songs than AC/DC songs, I’m sure.
Okay, I looked it up. I have one. This wasn’t it.
What’s been on your mind? Got something you’d like to share? A topic to discuss? It’s Thursday Night Open Thread.
Who wants to start?

Biden…once a phony, always a phony.
I never liked AC/DC. Or Aerosmith. Or Van Halen. Or Jimi Hendrix. I don’t own any of their music. That prompted a number of arguments in my high school years (class of ’81).
I have fond memories of AC/DC. Here’s why:
I never listened to them.
You’d think that’s the joke, but there’s more:
…. until I got to college. My best friend there was a fan, so I heard them. He defended them against those who yelled, “But it’s only three chords!” A Beatles fan, like me, would naturally see this as a pretty good argument.
But his reply boiled down to: “So what? A drum beat can have only one note but still rock. What about their words? — and what they mock? — and their attitude? That’s rock.”
So I learned to like them. An acquired taste, yes…. And we were the only guys on campus to celebrate a holiday that we invented: Bon Scott Day. If you’re familiar with how Bon Scott died, you have some idea of what the festivities consisted of. (“You’re not going to the library today,” said my friend, “not on Bon Scott Day!” And you know what? He was right about that.)
3 chords is the soul of Punk Rock.
I saw a bunch of concerts but AC/DC was never one of them. Not because I didn’t want to. I liked most rock bands just fine.
Just thought I’d balance out the comments here.
