I had an uncle for whom grandpa borrowed money to send to electrician school in Shi-town. Same uncle went to OCS after volunteering in 1940 to get his year of service out of the way (which kinda did and didn’t work). Don’t know which school he picked the trick, but uncle told of the trick of putting a sharp pencil under your chin to wake you up if you dozed off.
