Eviction Moratorium. Rental = Mental

The most perverse thing is that many people who never missed a paycheck are telling landlords to pound salt, knowing they have no recourse. And the debt incurred is uncollectable.

One magical effect will be to discourage investment in rental housing, and to increase homelessness, a defect that will be a attributed to “capitalism” and called a market failure.

If I had a nickel for every problem caused by government and blamed on markets, I’d be a big fat filmmaker in a baseball cap.

San Francisco’s Department of Public Works wants to replace 3,000 existing green trash cans with bigger and better-looking ones. The prototype being considered will cost taxpayers about $20,000 per can.

“It’s insane. Insane,” said Fred, a San Francisco resident.

DPW says the price would be about $4,000 per can once it’s mass-produced.

An existing green trash can recently purchased by the Department of Public Works costs a little over $1,200.

Will Prince Andrew be indicted by an American court? Will an Interpol arrest warrant be issued? Will an attempt be made to extradite him? Will he claim sanctuary in a royal palace?

Frankly, if he is guilty, and if he in any way condoned the murder of Epstein in jail, then I don’t give a flying Charles I about him.
