I have (to be more accurate, had) a very conservative mix of investments in my 401k. Minimal risk. Just got the year-end review: it lost 16.75% during 2022. Thanks, Joe!

Well, you are aware that today is Friday the 13th right? I told my wife I wasn’t even taking out the trash today since she believes in that astrology crap.
My wife moved much of our stock market investments into Money Market cash after Biden took office. I was doubtful but our (her) cash portfolio is up almost 1% in 2022.
Of course Bidinflation takes it’s toll, too
I track my retirement investments on a nice little excel graph. Let’s just say that I am currently trying to tell myself that this is a good thing, because every two weeks I am buying low. One day, when it recovers I’m going to be sitting pretty. Sitting pretty. Pretty bird. Yep I’m that’s what I tell myself.
