Leesburg Man Arrested After His Pants Fell Down at Wawa
Leesburg-News | February 26, 2023 | David TownsA Leesburg man was arrested after his pants fell down at Wawa.
A Leesburg police officer was conducting a property check Thursday night on the Wawa gas station when he re-entered the men’s restroom and saw 57-year-old Rudolph J. McCray standing at the sink trying to pull his pants up. When McCray turned to look at the officer his pants fell from his waist down to his ankles. As this was occurring the officer saw a small clear baggie fall from his groin area. As the baggie landed at McCray’s feet the officer saw that it contained an off-white rock-like substance .
The officer detained McCray, who told the officer he had found the substance on top of the urinal. A search of McCray revealed he had another rock-like substance in his shirt pocket. Both items were tested and determined to be crack cocaine. McCray was taken to the Leesburg Police Station where he was charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to the Lake County Jail where bond was set at $10,000.
At the time of this arrest, McCray was out on bond for a drug arrest which occurred on Nov. 4.

Biden Says ‘I May Be a White Boy, But I’m Not Stupid’ at Black History Month Event
NY Post | 2/27/2023WASHINGTON — President Biden told a White House audience “I may be a white boy, but I’m not stupid” in a cringeworthy attempt at self-deprecating humor during an event celebrating Black History Month.
The 80-year-old president made the bizarre remark moments after joking that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who is black, no longer talks to him.
“I may be a white boy, but I’m not stupid. I know where the power is … you think I’m joking. I learned a long time ago about the Divine Nine,” Biden said, referring to a group of African-American sororities.

Archaeologists Unearth 3,000-Year-Old Wishing Well in Germany
Smithsonian Magazine | January 18, 2023 | Sarah KutaThis wishing well, however, is different from all of the others because of what archaeologists found preserved inside: 26 bronze clothing pins and more than 70 pieces of ceramics, including decorative bowls, cups and pots. They also salvaged a bracelet, two metal spirals, an animal tooth, four amber beads, a wooden scoop and the remains of various plants.
The well’s original depth—16 feet—suggests that Bronze Age inhabitants dug it at a time when groundwater levels had dropped considerably. Archaeologists hypothesize that area residents were suffering from poor harvest yields and a long drought…

Thousands of Californians fleeing to Nevada Are Upending the Fabric of Its Cities – Causing Congestion
MAILONLINE | Feb 11th, 2023Thousands of Californians leaving the Golden State looking to escape the rampant homelessness and high cost of living are landing in neighboring Nevada, overrunning the state’s few major cities.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Reno area has seen 25,000 new residents according to reports and is expected to be one of the fastest growing cities in the coming years.
An article published by the Los Angeles Times on Thursday found that the droves of residents are moving to northern Nevada and causing issues with pre-settled residents who are seeing rising prices and traffic troubles.
The former-Californians are searching for the ‘perfect elixir — a California bender without the hangover.’
