Reports that US government could axe POTATOES as a vegetable sparks fury among Democrat AND Republican senators
daily mail | 3/29/24

Senators are fighting back against rumblings that the US government will stop classifying potatoes as a vegetable.

Fourteen lawmakers have written to the federal agencies who could influence the change, warning it would confuse Americans and cause chaos for supply chains.

It comes amid reports that the 2025 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee is ‘considering changes to food groups,’ including a proposal to lump starchy vegetables in the same category as grains, which would put it in the same bracket as bread and rice.

The panel is tasked with providing independent, science-based advice to the Departments of Agriculture (USDA) and Health and Human Services (HHS) to help inform recommendations when it comes to diet.

The new guidelines will be rolled out next year.

Biden Admin Threw Billions At EV Charging Stations — But Only A Handful Have Been Built
dailycaller.com | 4/1/2024 | Nick Pope

The Biden administration’s well-funded push to build out a national network of electric vehicle (EV) chargers has so far resulted in only a handful of installations, according to The Washington Post.

The bipartisan infrastructure bill of 2021 allotted $7.5 billion to subsidize thousands of EV chargers to help the administration’s goal of having EVs constitute 50% of all new cars sold in 2030, but only seven stations in total have been built in four states to date, according to the Post. The slow rollout of the EV charger funding is unfolding as the Biden administration has recently issued stringent emissions standards for light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles that will result in significant increases of EV sales for all three classes of vehicle.

Two years after the infrastructure bill became law, it has so far been responsible for just 38 operational individual charging spots across the U.S., according to the Post. The open stations are located in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York and Hawaii, and construction of more stations is underway in four other states.

CIA Warns Iran Will Attack Israel
Daily Express US | 04/04/2024 | Charlie Bradley

The CIA has warned Israel that Iran will attack the country in the next 48 hours, it has been reported.

Israel killed two Iranian military commanders with a strike on Tehran’s consulate in the Syrian capital Damascus this week.

Iran vowed that it would take revenge for the attack, and now foreign media is reporting that US intelligence is fearful of an attack on Israel.

Iran is said to be planning a combined attack with a “rain” of drones and missiles fired from its bases at strategic locations inside Israel, according to Al Mayadeen.

Jill Biden Outrageously Compares Florida To Nazi Germany
The Political Insider | 26 Mar 2024 | James Conrad

The First Lady Jill Biden hit a new low over the weekend when she outrageously compared the Republican-led state of Florida to Nazi Germany as she desperately tries to campaign for her husband amidst his abysmal approval ratings.

While speaking to an audience of Democrats in California who had paid $100,000 a ticket to see her, Jill claimed . . . “Before World War Two, I’m told, Berlin was the center of LGBTQ culture in Europe,” she continued. “One group of people loses their rights and then another, and then another, until one morning you wake up and you no longer live in a democracy.”

“MAGA Republicans are waging battles over our choices, our futures, and trying to drag us back to a dark and dangerous path,” Jill later added.

That’s Doktor Jill.
