  1. The Egyptians knew all about the Muslim Brotherhood. After the military took control following the abdication of Farouk, the military outlawed the Muslim Brotherhood, and overthrew President Naguib, installing Gen. Nassar as President. The Muslim Brotherhood remained outlawed through Nassar’s reign, the reign of Gen. Sadat, up till the overthrow of Gen. Mubarak.

  2. Some of us have been beating this drum for at least the last 11 years, some of us longer than that. It is not satisfying- being right about this. We’d much rather have been wrong. We’d much rather that there was peace in the world but that is not the reality we live in. The reality is that most muslims in the world hate the US, they hate Israel, they hate Christians and they hate each other. They are consumed with hate. It is what their god teaches them, it is their heritage. They believe they were wronged thousands of years ago and that the world owe them. Fact is their ancestor sold his birthright for a bowl of pottage. They haven’t changed a bit in thousands of years. They abuse, neglect, kill and enslave their own. They condemn their families to destitution by enforcing ignorance and archaic teachings that denigrate half of their population. They participate in destructive, violent and chaotic behavior in the hope that some mystical persona will come and elevate them over their “enemies” ie anyone that doesn’t ascribe to their belief system.

Religion of peace…………..tolerant ……………as long as you’re willing to live as slaves and pay them for the privilege.

  3. I’m unsure how long the Muslim Brotherhood can maintain power in Egypt though, because Egypt is a special case. Its military has always been the real political power behind any government. If the Brotherhood and the generals are at odds, I don’t see this faux democracy lasting very long as, unlike militaries in most democracies, Egypt’s military is almost like the Mafia, where each segment is completely loyal to their general(s) and the generals council, and not the government.

  4. We’ve now had three American embassies attacked in as many days, you would think after the first one they would have issued shoot orders against anyone attempting to get over the wall. I mark this as a failure of the administration to protect our dignitaries. The blood of those four killed are solely in the hands of the Secretary of State and President.

  5. Not only wont there be any shoot orders, but the weapons carried by security details will have to be unloaded so as to not offend our friends in the middle-east (save for Israel).

Anyone have the over-under on whether Obama would actually start giggling with nervous glee if they launched on Jerusalem or Tel Aviv?
