Carbon pollution in the atmosphere has hit a dangerous milestone. It’s time for action, not denial. http://ofa.bo/g55Z #ActOnClimate
“Also, a free pile of government grant money to anyone who can make up a new dangerous milestone for me to fret about.”

This whole narrative of “global warming is the biggest threat to this country” just reeks of “Look!! It’s Hayley’s Comet!!!”
So, what did we start out with, 285? And now we’re over 400?
I read a terrific piece of research some years back that suggested that post-ice age CO2 levels are normally between 500 and 1000.
(Gee, this ought to make some liberal climate troll climb out of the woodwork.)
Dude, worrying about “carbon pollution in the atmosphere” is a millstone, not a milestone.
Any time a snot nosed know it all liberal claims to be smart, just remind them that their “president” thinks that “carbon”, something we couldn’t exist without, is “pollution”. The term “carbon pollution” is, without a doubt, one of the stupidest things anyone has ever said.
@4 – So… “carbon pollution” is like “chocolate broccoli”? 🙂
Now, this is a true story.
Some years back, I had reprocessed asphalt spread over 700′ of common easement driveway to my house. We’re talkin’ big trucks full of the (wonderful) stuff.
Reprocessed asphalt is just that: stripped from roads, re-crumbled and re-oiled and sold to people like me.
One of my neighbors said to me, “Aren’t you worried about the oil polluting the ground?”
I replied, “Are you kidding? The stuff is a fertilizer. Watch what happens in the next several weeks.” She gave me a dirty look.
Sure enough, all the weeds and grasses in the 100 year-old road bed sprang to life thicker than ever. I’ve been beating them back ever since.
Carbon: So many uses, so little time!
Neighbor: “Aren’t you worried about the oil polluting the ground?”
Jimmy: “Yes I am. That’s why I pay people to pump it out of the ground. Then I store it in a 20 gallon tank and slowly burn it over the course of 2 weeks or so. Just doing my bit. You’re welcome!”
Another dangerous milestone passed and we are still here? Can we stop worrying now?
@7: I don’t think she could have handled such bluntness, DamnCat. As it is, I shut her up – but she’s gives me a grimace every time she sees me. So, I do things like cut along her portion of the easement which really makes her angry.
What I miss the most is burning COAL.
Also, Harvey: chocolate potatoes!
Notice how the “danger” is shifting from global warming to climate change deniers. There have been several mentions of this from the White House over the last couple of weeks.
The problem that the Left is letting themselves into is that you can believe in climate change and not believe it is man made. The two are easily reconcilable and what are they gonna call you them, climate change denier denier?

Decades of milestones and tipping points. These people need to leave and stop bothering us.
I notice that the comment section of articles discussing climate change seem to get closed down more often than other articles it seems.
#12 – Jimmy,
Oh Wow! It’s nice to know that somewhere in the world, someone can still say it like it is!
(too bad it’s not the media in this country. sigh)
Anyway, Bacon to you sir, for that most excellent link!
