My sympathies go out to you on the loss of your friend. No greater love is ever shown than to lay down your life for someone else.
Remember that there will always be people like Babs however, who don’t really believe in anything. They are miserable and seek to make everyone else as miserable as they are. I could tell you who is the ultimate author of such a mind set, but I’m sure you already know.
People like that need to be avoided at all cost, as they would bring others into their world of constant pain and agony.
There are others, like your friend who put into action the positive thoughts and ideas that help instead of harm. His reward will be greater than anyone can imagine. His life and sacrifice enrich all who knew and loved him. His example reaches out to those who hear of his actions.
