  1. It’s also the end of an era for the surviving personnel. Many of the servicemen who were there stated that this will be the last anniversary reunion for them, citing old age, the fact that there are fewer of them every year, and that it’s just too heartbreaking to keep reliving the memories.

  3. If I understand correctly, Japan attacked the USA and then the USA declared war on Germany.
    Wouldn’t declaring war on Japan be the more obvious choice?
    If not, countries would rush to attack the USA in order to avoid being in war with the USA…

Isn’t it apparent to erveryone that if after the attack on Pearl Harbor President Roosevelt could have avoided a costly, ill-advised and poorly planned military adventure by sitting down with both Japan and Germany and discussing how they could help us out of what became a quagmire that ended in inglorious victory for the US and started the spiral down into the bowels of ignominy that eventually resulted in Iraq? Am I alone here? Hello! Hmm, ignominy, that’s a good word. Should have used that in the Surrender report.
