I got this letter from the DNC:
Frank —
That’s me!
John McCain has a lot of houses. How many?
I don’t know!
He can’t keep track.
Oh noes!
Yesterday, when asked by reporters how many homes he owns, McCain responded, “I think — I’ll have my staff get to you.”
Did the staff get back to them, or is he hiding that information like a common Obama?
This is the latest in a string of striking and revealing comments by McCain. Recently he said that from his perspective “the fundamentals of our economy are strong” right now, then he said that millionaires are not rich as long as they’re making less than $5 million a year.
I saw the video of both those statements, so I know you’re full of crap. Then again, this supposed to be a letter to Democrat faithfuls who would just be nodding and drooling at this point.
Today, the Obama campaign launched a television ad exposing just how out-of-touch McCain is with the realities American families face.
Is it as forgettable as all their others? They should try comparing McCain to Paris Hilton.
Watch the ad and write a letter to your local newspaper about John McCain’s out-of-touch economic policies:
I’ll get right on that.
In an economy where millions of Americans are sinking under high mortgages and rising gas prices, we can’t afford another president who doesn’t get it.
So we want that other rich guy Obama?
In John McCain’s world, the limits on campaign contributions should rise with inflation, but the minimum wage should not. In fact, he believes there shouldn’t be any increase at all in the minimum wage.
Yeah, the problem with McCain is he’s too lax on campaign finance laws.
How can he help the middle class when he doesn’t know who they are? And how can he fix the economy if he doesn’t know it’s broken?
Again, the alternative is the guy who judges the economy based on the price of organic arugula at Whole Foods?
BTW, do you guys think the middle class earn minimum wage?
McCain’s money may have bought him a lot of houses, but there’s one house we can’t afford to let McCain add to his list: the White House. Not on our watch.
Actually, I bet it was his wife’s money that got the houses. She makes beer.
Please watch the Obama campaign’s ad and write a letter to your local papers about how out-of-touch John McCain is with economic realities:

“Dear newspapers, McCain is rich, unlike any other politician. P.S. I’m retarded.”
Keep fighting the good fight,
DNC Rapid Response Team
Do you people get like paid for this? How can I get in on this scam?
P.S. — The answer is at least seven. And they are worth more than $13 million dollars.
The dastard!
For some reason, the Dummycrats really think they hit pay dirt here. Daily Kos, which is famous for having absolutely no clue what motivates someone to vote who doesn’t masturbate to pictures comparing Bush to a chimp, has a number of front page posts on this (like this). They really think they have an attack again McCain now. My guess is they’re thinking of how this became an issue with Kerry, and having the analytic skills of squirrels, don’t really get how this is different for McCain versus for a haughty liberal pretending to be a friend of the poor.
This reminds me of when I got made fun of in school for being smart. “Ha! Frank got a hundred on his test!” Just because something is said like an insult doesn’t make it insulting. We’re Republicans; we celebrate wealth. We’re certainly not a bunch of whiny, jealous dinguses about it. We’re especially not the average liberal politicians who is rich himself but doesn’t want that for anyone else.
Have the Democrats come up with one substantive attack on McCain yet? I know we Republicans had plenty in the primaries. I guess attacking what he’s done as a politician only reinforces the face that he actually has done things.

Soon will come this ad:
Did you know that during the Vietnam conflict, John McCain spent most of his time at a four star hotel in Southeast Asia? While our brave servicembers fought and died, he luxuriated on local cuisine and did little more than lie around all day, sometimes for days on end, all in his breezy pajamas and bamboo sandals? Is this the kind of leader our nation needs right now? Someone who spends days, no years, in a hotel while our troops are placed in harm’s way in order to line his pockets with Suadi oil kickbacks? Call John McCain’s office today and tell him, “No more vacations at the Hanoi Hilton!”
Hey! Hanoi Hilton? Paris Hilton? Quick, somebody connect the damn dots!
After all, the Democrats would never nominate a wealthy guy married to an heiress who owns several homes. Doh!
Obama’s money is new and self-made. McCain cheated on his wife with a wealthy woman he later married (Cindy McCain) to gain his wealth.
#4
Obama printed his own money? McCain should use that.
Yes, Obama is much more in touch with the American people.
He knows we need a president who will continually raise taxes on us.
He’ll give us the Marxist dictatorship we so desire, complete with socialist government workers deciding which life-saving medical procedures we’re allowed.
Each time they rape us with higher gas prices, Obama will tell them to do it more slowly.
And lastly, we support a big presidential pay raise, so that maybe then Obama can tell us when we can kill babies.
Obama! Obama! Obama!
I’m interested in Cindy’s connection to big beer! Ummm. Beer. What’s more American than beer? It goes with hot dogs, baseball (ben berry berry good), apple pie and picnics. Did I mention motherhood?
Vote McCain. Beer.
You know the Dhimmis can’t use the issues we busted McCain on during the primaries; those were things they like about McCain. They might lose votes to him if they did that.
#4 – New Money? I’m pretty sure old money and new money count up just the same. Now, legally earned money vs. dirty money? There’s something you should be askin’ Teh Messaih and Rezko ’bout.
Democrats are smart to pound on this issue a bit. It won’t hurt McCain directly and immediately, but it does to quite a bit of indirect damage to him during the next two months, because it completely takes the wind out of his attempt to paint Obama as “elitist”, which was clearly going to be a major line of attack.
Now, no McCain supporter can ever successfully paint Obama as “elitist” or “out of touch” because the immediate comeback (even if unspoken) will be, yeah, but McCain doesn’t even know how many houses he owns!
Most of McCain’s attacks, so far, have gone off track. He tried to paint Obama as naive on foreign policy for his position on an Iraq withdrawal, or talks with the leaders of Iran. Lo-and-behold, Bush is now agreeing to “time horizons” (and no one, Dem or Rep, is stupid enough to not realize that’s double-speak for “time table”), and is sending negotiators to Iran.
He was more successful at painting Obama as a “celebrity”, but the Democrats easily returned the complement, as McCain has been a media darling for years, and that “charge” just doesn’t hold a lot of ooomph, anyway.
This latest flap caused McCain to have to resort to Rezco earlier than he would have liked. Furthermore, future “Rezco” cards, weaker after having been dealt too early, will lead to Keating, and McCain knows it.
I think the Dems should pound on this one as hard as they can – it’s a win for them no matter how McCain tries to spin it.
I guess that’s why John McCain has been gaining in the polls, John from CA. Well, since your focus IS on superfluous issues, John from CA, I guess Obama should dwell on the “house issue” for a long time!
Meanwhile, McCain can carry on with the real issues: Obama’s plans for higher taxes, disarming our military, appeasing terrorists, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in Iraq, socialized healthcare, infanticide funding… not to mention changing his mind (oh, is that called “flip-flopping”?) on virtually every issue he’s opened his fat Marxist mouth on – nor even the connections to corrupt Chicago politicians, racist pastors, etc. etc. Yeah, he’s a pretty easy guy to campaign against – unless, of course, you’re right and the American people are now dumber than shit on a stick.
Meanwhile, I like the other John better. McCain. Big time – with every passing day.

The difference between the “time horizons” that are being put forth now and the “time tables” for withdrawal that were put forth by all the Democratic candidates is that these are working with the Iraqis. The surge worked. We won. Now, we want to leave so Iraq can govern itself. That was the plan all along, but putting a time table on withdrawal before we finished the task at hand would just be handing the country over to insurgents and telling them “you kill enough Americans, we’ll leave” which is NOT the impression we want to make. Now our allies have it under control, so we can pull back, help if they still need it, and let them be a solid democracy in the Middle East.
#4 – I think tony rezko helped o’bummer print his money.
Actually, mccain’s response is the best thing he could have come up with – not knowing his wife’s investments is evidence that his corrective action for the keating incident is working. This will deny o’bummer’s mouthpieces any traction on that issue.
The current negotiations with the Iraqis on troop reductions show o’bummer was wrong in 2003, wrong in 2006, and is wrong now. The war is over. We won. Being anti-war is passe’. Get a life. To coin a phrase, move on.
And one thing I believe (about 3/4 seriously) is that, while voters in general aren’t crazy about voting for super-rich people… I kinda doubt a lot of voters will hold it against Cindy McCain. How did she become wealthy? Providing beer to the masses!
I suspect that’s about the most honorable way you can become super-rich in this country….
Everyone knows that the ‘excessively’ wealthy are not fit to be president. It’s only those that are ‘overly’ wealthy that are really in touch with what the dirt poor are going through. The Obamas only raked in a measly 4 mil last year. Man, they must really be feeling the economic pinch like me! I hope he can afford to keep paying the mortgage on his 1.6 million dollar shanty.
You know what gets me about the Rezko/Obama land thing? Obama refers to it as a “boneheaded move”. And it was a move he made, what, in the last year or so? I think the next ad by McCain should highlight all these “boneheaded moves” Obama has made in recent years.(he has admitted to a few) Seems he hasn’t grown out of the “boneheaded moves” quite yet.
I certainly don’t want someone who still makes “boneheaded moves” to have their finger on the button!
McCain’s an old, smelly doodie-head!
How’s that for a substantive attack, you racist cracker?
Please vote for me, the rich Balck guy who is in touch with you regular folks. Don’t be fooled by that rich white guy pretending he knows you. Don’t be fooled, young, nieve, bitter, common folk.
#17 is a fake.
Being b. h. O’bummer means never having to say “Please”. Least of all to the great unwashed.
Now I know I’m just an moronic female Conservative who is controlled by her husband and her religion but…….
Mr. McCain found and married a rich, blonde, beautiful woman who owns a brewery. Is this not the fantasy of 90% of the worlds male population? She owns 7 houses and lets him keep his stuff there. I’ve got to think this man is in masculine nirvana.
So do you think BO is just jealous or maybe it’s Michele that has the issue.
I don’t know #19, but I have a hard time believing your first sentence. Just sayin’ (which beats “having said that” (which I hate!!)).
This isn’t good, but I think you’re overestimating. Elitist = snob, it doesn’t necessarily equal rich. Cf. George Bush – Everybody in 2000 knew he was rich, but he never gave off a snobby/this-makes-me-better-than-you vibe. That’s what sunk Kerry, not the fact he was loaded.
Most of McCain’s attacks, so far, have gone off track.
Then why is he gaining in the polls and Obama is declining?
This latest flap caused McCain to have to resort to Rezco earlier than he would have liked. Furthermore, future “Rezco” cards, weaker after having been dealt too early, will lead to Keating, and McCain knows it.
Which will lead to Bob Bennett (who was the special prosecutor in the investigation and whose Democratic credentials are completely solid) defending the man and saying “that there was no evidence against him” and it was a hit-job to deflect from the fact all four other people involved were Democrats.
I’m a clingin to my guns!
Or is that stickin to my guns?
If times are tough and you’re lookin fer a job, then Omama ain’t yer dude.
If life is tough and there ain’t no point in lookin fer a job, then Omama will wreck the economy to make sure you ken watch OpraH
Remember the type of relationship between hussein barack obamba and william ayers the terrorist who is proud of trying to bomb the White House and the Pentagon amongst other targets? (where people were killed). Obama and bill ayers are/were on the same board and are trying to cover up data about this/information at a private library? Anyway the question that SHOULD be asked is: What is more important: OWNING buildings or BOMBING buildings? That should give you an idea of who you want as president.
What will Cindy do when That Belgian company buys Budweiser?
We can’t have the first lady working for a bunch of fur’ners!
Sam Adams makes better beer anyway; she should make a deal with them and bring all the Clydesdales with her!
They could ride in the back of the wagon down Pennsylvania Ave on inaugeration day!
Seanmahair: I think you’re referring to the traditional lazy man’s fantasy: A pregnant woman who owns a pub!
I’ve known rich pricks.
I’ve known poor pricks.
I’ve known poor people I’d follow anywhere.
I’ve known rich people I’d follow anywhere.
Money is mostly an accident. Character is precious.
I’ve worn the uniform.
Which way to Hell Commander? I’ve got your six.
Good on McCain for having seven houses. Appeals to envy don’t work on me.
hey, McCain may not know how many houses he owns, but at least he knows how many states there are.
I don’t think he answered that question well.
If I were asked how many houses I own I’d say something like “mind your own f&^@ing business, how many houses I own has no bearing on my qualifications as President.”
#20-That was my feeble attempt at sarcasm.
What we have with the Dems is an inability to find some issue that Osamabama is more experience in or that he actually understands better than McCain. Now don’t get me wrong, I am NOT a McCain supporter, just a cynical realist.
McCain has…..
More life experience – he’s simply lived longer.
– longer experience in government.
– some military experience. (duh)
– some hint of a moral compass.
– the ability to speak in coherent sentences.
– the intelligence to diversify his wealth.
I’ve got to say just from my meager list made a 4:30 this morning John is the better candidate, but then again my 3 wk old granddaughter is a better candidate than “the messiah”.
So, sleepless in Kansas, that’s 04:40 a.m. CDT. My goodness! I realize Obama’s Biden announcement is newsworthy, but 04:40? And I thought I got up early (it’s 06:20 here).
OK, I’ve read the news this morning.
BIDEN.
Hahahahahahahahaha.
Obama: clean and articulate
Biden: not so much
Welcome aboard, Mr. Stinky Dirty Shorts !
#30 – Posted by: Jimmy on August 23, 2008 09:35 AM
And he announced it at 4:50 AM! Bwahahahaha!
Frankly, if McCain can’t beat this guy, he deserves to lose.
Biden? Carl Rove has to be running Obama’s campaign! Or Operation Chaos is. Hillary is about to “un-suspend” her campaign!
Why do I have this feeling we’re about to witness a truly great spectacle?
RE Biden:
I know Frank and Harvey don’t usually post on the weekend…so I was hopin’ someone would take up this topic in the comments.
I already saw the McCain ad with Biden’s comment regarding Obama’s lack of experience and the fast that he would run against or with McCain.
There’s no way the Obama camp can spin that! If they say, well, it was just primary politics, then Biden is a liar.
It’s like the geeky kid at school that pays the bully to protect him.
And for all the talk about change, Biden is about as non-change as a politician can get!
This is getting fun!
The democrats are probably sitting around thinking this proves that McCain doesn’t know what it is like to have to skip a meal now and then, or go a month without cable, or have a doctors bill that is so big, that you have to give up fast food and cigarettes to pay for it. While McCain probably thinks they are a bunch of retards who don’t know what it is like to be starved, beaten, put in solitary confinement, or have to resit a someones broken bones using only the things you can find in a cell, because the communist bastards think it is funny to let someones arm heal wrong.
The dems talk about Obama being the Messiah, but it seems McCain is the only one who went through something that at least resembles the Passion. (Not that I am saying McCain’s suffering was anything like that of Christ. I am just saying it comes a lot closer then anything the phony Obama ever did).
Oh yeah, I come from a religion that teaches that there is actually more then just one Anti-Christ. There is the devil who is the big ant-Christ, and then anyone who claims to falsely be a messiah is also an anti-Christ. Some may just joke about Obama being one, but even if he never does anything really wrong once elected, he has already sold his Christen soul to get there. I don’t vote for blasphemy.
By the way, I know Obama has probably never actually said he was the messiah, but the way his supporters act, and the way he doesn’t get pissed off and acts all smug about being called so, really gets my goat.

We were heading out to Oklahoma for a church thing and had to leave a 5 am. I of course was ready and waiting for the rest of the fam (yeah I’m like that, it’s irritating but true), so I busied myself with some caustic comments while waiting. The good thing is I got all the nastiness out of my system early so we had a really great time.
Why is it though that when you couldn’t sleep (babies and children wise) you could sleep and now that the children are grown you can sleep (there’s time and opportunity) but you can’t sleep? Another of God’s little ironies. I love it.
McCain had a great reaction to the big, big Biden announcement. He went to Starbucks for some coffee, like he does every morning and took the rest of the day off. You can tell he’s really sweating this shit.
Obama spent more on ads last month than McCain has all year and is still dropping.
Now with Biden adding double the gaffes, Obama can throw away even more of Soros’ money.
the DNC really does think that young people are stupid and will follow anything that is rebellious. i think young people are smart and can see through the crap the DNC is promoting. go young people!!!!!
