Thank God Not Everyone is Frank

Frank J. is a wonderful guy, although crippled by a ferret-like tendency to get distracted by shiny objects.

For example, The Republican Underground.

Fortunately, good ideas are hearty seeds that take root in good soil, regardless of who plants them.

The Republican Underground exists.

Use it as you may.

  1. Thanks for pointing that out, Frank. Your post reassures me that blogging at IMAO will continue unabated right through the holiday season. I need many more weeks until the word “Obama” finally sinks in. I need my denial awhile longer. Can I still buy Fred Thompson T-shirts?

Oooo… shiny snow and ice out there… *thunk*

  2. For #6 and #8 who are requesting a good laugh.

I have been on the waiting list for 2-3 months at glockworld for a 21c.

I thrashed my index finger on Thursday (Table saw opps)

    The hand gun came Friday…….

It ‘ll be about 3 months.

    Happy Xmas all.

  3. Sorry to hear…er…read that raml. Who said God doesn’t have a sense of humor?

Also, I’m now officially part of the underground thingy…keep it on the DL. I’ll lurk for a bit till I figure out the lay of the land so to speak. If it turns out lame, well I’ve been on lame before (looks around grinning) but RU looks like it has potential.

  4. Here in Minnesota we are 21sters. Yesterday was the first day of spring. The days start getting longer and we are on our way. It’s well below zero up here and we are grasping at anything we can right now as we attempt to stay alive each time we venture outside…

  5. I don’t know. I like the idea of an active underground…but in checking the site out, there seems to be a lot of rules. No smart-ass comments…no cheeky rejoiners…no snarky observations….lots of hall monitors watching for violators….

I spent 12 years at Catholic schools…been there, done that. I was hoping for a witty, energetic underground, always with the simmering potential for intelligent violence.

    Will it be fun?

  6. cactusod, I agree with you, looks like too many rules, and to ronpaulish. It is what turned me off of the American Conservative Party. Not really conservative principles, but rather libertarians/rinos in disguise.
I have yet to see one of theses sights say anything specific about protecting the 2nd Amendment, or reversing roe v wade, or protecting the unborn, or limiting the scope of government, or reducing the the tax burden of those that work hard. They can yell conservatism all they want, but actions speak louder than words.

  7. Right you are, Plentyobailouts! I’m ashamed to even call myself a Republican anymore. I wish we could resurrect Ronald Regan – that was a REAL conservative! I think we may have one in Sarah in 2012, though. This country needs some serious prayers to repair what the Dems are going to do to it these next 4 years.

  8. Raml,

I’m a natural Right, but my motorcycle accident left me with only the use of my Left hand. If I can shoot a .357 Mag non-dominant and one-handed, you can make it. Take courage and keep your powder dry.

Something I noticed abou7t the RU is that we Conservatives don’t really know about political activism and The Party is afraid of it so they offer no help. It’s gonna be a rocky road. I have stated before, I’m willing to foot soldier as a Conservative activist, but I need a leader and marching orders. At least until I learn activism. We’ll learn slowly, and we’ll be an effective force but, we need focus, constant reminders, guidelines, suggestions and a game plan.

AZ RUers, I’m here to work!
