And congratulations to the Republicans for now going a couple days in a row without completely screwing things up. That they even considered reelecting the current chair is a bit of a head scratcher, but so far so good. Now let’s see what Senate Republicans do with the craptastic “stimulus”.
Imagine. After everything that’s happened, it seems the GOP is the only one with real hope and change.
I’m waiting on the response by liberals calling Steele – ‘Uncle Tom’, ‘House Negro’.
Just another moderate. More of the same that got us here.
I’ll see your inexperienced, unsuccessful, liberal African American politician and raise you a experienced, successful, conservative African American politician. Gin! I win.
I hope this guy is a real conservative. I really really hope. Time will tell. I do have my doubts but probably because so many others have bent me over and given me the old “one eye” up the keister before…
Well he is a conservative from the Socialist State of Maryland so…………
Yeah, I’m with you ussjimmy, I sure hope so. Maybe we should be “praying” so. Literally.
…but it’s only historic if the democrats do it. So, nothing to see here…kinda like Judge Thomas, Colin Powell, Rice, etc., etc.
What’s even more of a headscratcher was that Saul Anuizus (sp) was able to hang around through, what, five ballots? I was a poll challenger in ’06 and ’08 with the Michigan GOP (which he headed), and can tell you that that was one of the most dysfunctional organizations I have ever seen. That he was even considered at all, must less considered so thoroughly, is a testament to how far cronyism will take you. At least they finally, from what I can tell, ended up with a good solid conservative at the helm, even if the road they took to get there is more than a little puzzling.
Minutes after his election was announced, the talking heads starting describing him as, “The most moderate nominee for the position.”
Is he really so moderate, or are the drive-bys just wasting no time trying to taint the man?
Mike Steele may not be perfect, we need to talk 2nd Amendment with the man, but he is the best option on the table and I think he’s a positive choice.
The statements that he must be a good choice because the Leftist Media are starting to degrade him already.
The guy is smart and he is media savey which is going to help because he is working against a media that may as well be a paid arm of the opposition.
I have been listening to Mr. Steele on the radio for the last few months, and I find him intellegent and honest. I also find him to be a bit squishy on a few issues, especially when it came to confirming the criminal element for hussein’s cabinet. Granted, that encompasses most of them, but c’mon, lets stand for something. It does not damage credibility to stand for ones principles.
I hope he is a strong enough leader to take the party back to the right where it belongs, and tells mcconnell, graham , and mccain to get in line or get out. I also hope he loudly endorse good men like DeMint and others.
