I figure most of my readers are already going to vote for me in the Weblog Awards… at least since Iowahawk wasn’t nominated. Or maybe you’ll vote for Treacher; who knows. Anyway, the point is I should be making out these appeals to non-regular readers who are checking out the site. So here are some representative posts of the humor you’ll find at IMAO. Thank you for your consideration.
What the f*** is The Comics Curmudgeon?? It’s way in the lead, so I went to check it out. Not really funny at all. I don’t get it. It’s like the History Channel about comic strips.
I nominate:
http://www.socratesbox.blogspot.com/
as the best Socrates blog.
What is up with the leader? Do I not get funny anymore?
I nominate Jimmy as best Socrates Academy reader. And he keeps me from having to use sockpuppets very much at all, really.
I nominate Socrates Academy as best Jimmy blog, and I’m not a sockpuppet for him, either.
While I’m at it, I’d also like to nominate:
http://badexample.mu.nu/
as the best “0 MT Comments (closed) ” blog. Apparently, SPAM (‘n eggs?) attacks are responsible for it’s status. (But I keep going there Hoping to comment! Maybe Harvey will Change it back someday.)
Thank you, thank you, thank you, SocRates. I accept your nomination and am willing to serve.
Just cruising some of those blogs: five feet of fury was good in the Canadian category (lots of libtard canucks otherwise) and Shire News Network is a great (and important) podcast that could use some love also.
Socrates has become a Socrateaser.
And I’m not done!
There are a whole host of people I would like to nominate for Best Non-Blogger. Yeah! Let’s hear it for the Non-Bloggers!! Woo hoo.
OH yeah, why I was first going to comment: Jimmy, Harveys comments are open…..just click on the word COMMENTS…….. at least it worked for me before……then smack your forehead and say D’oh.
Another blog everyone here should be voting for:
Watt’s Up With That? for Best Science Blog.
It’s basically the go-to blog for anyone who thinks global warming is a whole bunch of huey. It’s dry, but that’s because the guy backs up his claims with scientific fact.
Wow, 1715 people voted for IMAO. I didn’t know we had that many members…
DC – You can vote once every 24 hours, so divide the total votes by the number of days the poll has been open, then account for various methods of cheating, and you will get a more accurate result.
[There’s about five regular IMAO readers. -Ed.]
The Comics Curmudgeon sucks. It’s about as funny as that officer in Good Morning Vietnam who was trying to show Robin Williams what real humor is.
