World Net Daily has a photo of what allegedly is Obama’s Kenyan birth certificate issued back in 1964. Which got me thinking: Even if this were true, do we really want it to get out? Think about it. In the history books, America will now have an asterisk by it’s name saying “Temporarily occupied by Kenya.” Kenya might even be able to demand tribute.
If there was anything to this, we really should have been on it before Obama was elected. Now, for the good of the country, I think we all need to be part of the cover up.
I’m a little skeptical about this birth certificate, especially the part in the middle where it says “enter father’s Twitter account.”
So let me get this straight: the Birthers want to expose that Obama is not a natural-born citizen, to what end? To remove him from office? They really would rather have JOE BIDEN running the country? Perhaps Nancy Pelosi? As bad as Obama is, I would rather have him than Crazy Joe or Madame Blinky.

The 1964 Kenyan document is not the real birth certificate, it even says it is a copy! Why should we believe a copy when the original can be consulted? Show us the original!

For the record, I believe that (1) it is unlikely a knocked-up, near-term teenager would travel to a country in Africa in the early 1960s, or that her new husband would take her from thousands of miles to within miles or closer to his other wife, and (2) that the current law on natural birth should apply, such that even if it were overseas, Obama’s birth would not disqualify him for the presidency. Of course the latter could have been done while McCain’s much more solid claim to natural-born status was being “clarified” by Congress, and should be a strike against Obama if he was born overseas.
Let me concede for the moment that this document is authentic, and shows he was born in Kenya. What is the relevance of that viz him being a Natural Born Citizen? If his mom was a citizen at the time of his birth, he is a NBC.

I’m surprised at how many conservative sites and conservative commentators are trying to make the “birther” movement go away. Whether or not, Hussein was born here legally or not, since this is an issue that’s starting to cause real aggravation for his administration, one has to wonder what’s on his birth certificate (if one does exist) that he doesn’t want out – clearly there’s some sort of scandal or untruth to be uncovered or he would have simply released it months ago, taking relish in shoving it in the faces of the “conservative neocons.” The fact that he hasn’t produced it, or allowed its release means there’s a problem of some sort for Barry.
I agree. I love Glenn Beck, but just today he and Michelle Malkin were talking about the “Birthers” and he said something to the effect of “What are you going to do? Remove him from office?” Well, if you love the country and believe in the Constitution, you shouldn’t be worried about who may be the next president, just worry about upholding the law and the Constitution.
My father-in-law buys into this birther crap. I demanded he prove to me that my wife is a Natural born American since all she has is a certificate of live birth from Nevada. This was fun and games until he tried to get my wife deported to Kenya.
Ken — Re: #8 Actually, there’s some really complex reason why this wouldn’t work, which relates to O’Bama’s mother’s age. NBCs can be born to citizens living abroad only if the parents spent a period of the previous years in the USA. Complicated but, basically if he was born in Kenya, he wouldn’t be a NBC under the existing rules when he was born.
On the other hand, he’s already the President. That kinda trumps the whole argument. I can’t see him going anywhere for a while. Somebody shoulda checked before January.

I think Mark Steyn nailed it – Obambi is a NBC (which he is irrespective of birthplace, as #8 pointed out), but he doesn’t want the cert out there because his birth name was Verdie Shquiltz or something.

From what I’ve read, As long as one of his parents was an American citizen and had resided in the U.S in the previous 5 years he would be considered a NBC. All the theories have his mom living and Dad living in Hawaii within that time period.

Strike One against Dear Leader: His mom was 18. In 1961 the law said if you were married to a foreign national, you had to have 5 years residence in the US, past the age of 14. She was 18.
Strike Two: Being born in the US makes you a citizen by location. Being born to two US Citizens in the United States of America or its territories, makes you “natural born” (natural in the sense that no LAW or action is required AND you owe no allegiance to any foreign power). This is so someone born in the US of two foreign citizen parents cannot be raised in a foreign country yet return to qualify (if elected) to be in charge of our armed forces. Two Chinese embassy personnel cannot have a baby and encourage the child to return to the States and run for President in the future, just an example.
Others have argued that her marriage wasn’t legal thanks to Sr’s first wife and tribal marriage. If that’s the case, why wasn’t the marriage “annulled” by Hawaii? Why did she have to request and receive a full divorce? If it wasn’t a legal marriage, than O’s birth falls under only a two year US residency requirement for his mom. This is a gray area though because we don’t have the original birth certificate, nor access to any information contained therein.
Strike Three: Being born of one foreign parent grants “dual citizenship”. Obama had to take action by his 21st birthday to denounce his “foreign citizenship status”. If you have to take action and declare your citizenship choice, you are not “natural born”. You CANNOT be born owing allegiance to any foreign power and be considered “natural born”.
Strike Four: Obama traveled on a foreign passport to Pakistan in 1981 on a break from Columbia University. Traveling (for a US Citizen) under a foreign nation’s passport REVOKES your citizenship automatically, by law. He should have had to take the Citizenship Oath and sign a form by his 21st birthday, along with surrendering his foreign passport. He continued into law school without doing so, possibly still on “exchange student” credentials long after his 21st birthday.
Strike Five: Michelle Obama is on record stating she “fell in love in college with that handsome foreign exchange student”. Attending school and qualifying for financial assistance as a foreign national would constitute fraud.
Strike Six: He’s spent nearly a million dollars with law firms in order to fight releasing his original Hawaiian birth certificate. Non-guilty people do not spend outrageous sums of money to hide the truth.
Strike Seven: It was once stated, by Kenya, that Obama’s “Kenyan records are sealed”. Why would someone NOT born in Kenya, who never traveled to Kenya to EVER visit his dad, who only traveled to Kenya AFTER becoming a Senator, have KENYAN RECORDS?
Strike Eight: his school records, Indonesian adoption records, college records, grad school records, law school records, employment records, financial records, law school thesis records, et al remain sealed. Hidden from the public eye. Again, truthful people do not hide the truth.
Strike Nine: the State of Hawaii will not verify that the posted Obama COLB which we’ve heard so much about from every liberal Obot supporter was even issued by them! It’s a freakin’ State of HI printout, and they won’t confirm it! What does that tell you?
That’s enough strikes to take down the home team for an entire inning! Should we go on blindly or should we insist that these ommissions are rectified? I’m all for granting a few mulligans here and there in the interest of peace between blacks and whites, Democrats and Republicans, liberals and conservatives, but come on!

I would assume that, once a presidential candidate was found to be not eligiable, the election would be awarded to the eligiable candidate that got the largest number of electoral votes. Since Obama would have been ineligiable, the only proper legal remedy would be to make John McCain president, under the terms of the 20th Amendment.
Biden would remain VICE President, that being the office he was elected for via “distinct ballots” under the 12th Amendment.
Obama’s presidency would be rendered null. Since he’s not being REMOVED from office (as he would have never LEGITIMATELY occupied it) Biden could not secede him. Secession can only be passed on from a legitimate office holder.
Now, wouldn’t THAT just make for interesting times?
