Crissy, your code words are showing, because we all know what happened to Teddy Roosevelt:
During a stop in Milwaukee on his 1912 “Bull Moose” campaign for the presidency, Roosevelt was shot at close range by John Schrank, a psychotic New York saloonkeeper. Schrank had his .38 caliber pistol aimed at Roosevelt’s head, but a bystander saw the gun and deflected Schrank’s arm just as the trigger was pulled. Roosevelt did not realize he was hit until someone noticed a hole in his overcoat. When Roosevelt reached inside his coat, he found blood on his fingers.
Everyone knows that dangerous, irresponsible, hate speech like this incites unhinged people to violence.
If anything happens, Chris Matthews must be held accountable.
Do enough people see crissy for anyone to be influenced? Does crissy have even enough crdibility to incite the most fervent markists? his audiance must have grown since the coronation to like 10 or maybe 11. So can he even get 1 hippie to quit munching and do something? Probably not.

The giant difference is that Teddy was so badass, after being shot in the chest he went on to deliver a 90 minute speech with the bullet in him before even bothering with that whole medical care thing. Obama calls 911 every time he walks into a window. Teddy had dreadful poicies that started the ruination of America, but his testes were the size of watermelons.
As Scotty said of Khan “I’ve always held a sneaking admiration for this one”.

The press is trapped in their own template. Raise’em up, Tear’em down.
Whether it’s an actor, a sports figure, or a politician – the press raises up the idol of the moment on a pedestal of impossible expectations, and then covers their inevitable fall as some sort of betrayal of the public.
Obie should be worried, because the press keeps comparing him to people who got shot, and I just know they already have the story written; they just need to fill in a few blanks and it’ll be good to go.
He should be relieved that they’re not comparing him to Jesus Christ anymore; getting shot is a breeze compared to being beaten, flogged and crucified.
