Random Thoughts

I don’t think Rand Paul is a racist for discussing the Civil Right Act, but I do think politically he’s an idiot.

You scream “Racist!” at Rand Paul or have an intellectual discussion about freedom, but you can’t do both.

Unless you’re actually a paid shill for one of the political parties, people gotta calm down.

I’m glad with all that’s going on we’re finally having a debate on the Civil Right Act.

  1. In law school, one of the first questions I would ask a professor is “where does congress get the authority to do this?” Needless to say that made me a tad unpopular with my profs.

I don’t know much about Rand Paul, but it does appear that he doesn’t have a raging case of the The Crazy like his dad does, and it also appears that he needs a bit more sophistication in his communications. If he can focus his message more on “government doesn’t have the authority to do this” it might actually stimulate some valuable debate in our country. Of course, the MSM won’t report it that way. But still, it would be a refreshing debate to have.

  2. Rand Paul should have known better. He has had made enough comments in the past, along with his dad, that he is an easy target. The leftie talk shows are playing Paul’s comments while showing video of protesters getting hosed and beaten, whites only signs, the whole nine yards. While this is the expected dishonest over-the-top (and pre-planned) liberal response, and should have been expected, Paul keeps digging his grave deeper. He announced his candidacy on the Maddow show, and anyone wioth an ounce of common sense knew it was a setup. TRhe majority of npmsnbc’ers have strong connections to the Obama regime. Doesn’t say much for Rand Paul, does it?

  3. Rand Paul is a political novice. He should have just lied, and told Rachael Madcow what ever it was she wanted to hear (yes Rachael I’m for more government control, yes Rachael I’m for bigger government too, yes Rachael I’m also for higher taxes, etc. etc.)….like any other seasoned politician would have done. Now he has given the lib’s something to whine, snivel, howl, and be righteously indigent about. As everyone knows there is nothing a lib loves more than an excuse to whine, snivel, howl, and be righteously indigent. No wonder this country has no honest politicians.

    Fixed it for ya, zzyzx.

  5. Is there any irony in the fact that we are often uncivil about our civil rights? Does this mean that our rights to be uncivil are always secure, while our rights to civil may be challenged? This always worked the opposite way in high school.

  6. “I’m glad with all that’s going on we’re finally having a debate on the Civil Right Act.”

Well, with the unprecedented level of suck we’ve now seen from the first “black” president, perhaps some people are now having second thoughts.

  7. And there you have the speed bump in the Libertarian road. It’s a great point to discuss in a law school classroom but not in the la-la-land of MSNBC with the Madcow. It’s like my grandfather always said, “The fruit don’t fall far from the tree”!

  8. Watching rachel madcow is funny. the way it falls over all the time and spins in circles. This is the mental disorder of “marxism”. Note the the bugging out eyes and the evil glare. typical of those suffering with “liberal/marxism”. Anothe rgood example is harry reid.

Rand Paul’s biggest problem: Honesty, oh and ron paul.

communist party’s biggest problem: Way too long to list, oh and the puppet in the white house is a pos.
