Is Chris Christie Our Only Hope?

So is big fat Chris Christie our best bet for 2012? With Obama being a spineless, useless tool on the deficit, it might be time to finally run on that issue, and it’s been shown that Chris Christie already knows how to get results. We need someone who is going to make those drastic cuts and not care when people yell at him, and that’s Christie. Only problem is when people ask him to run for president, he always responds, “Can’t campaign now; busy eating.”

Maybe we can cook like six pounds of bacon. Chris Christie will see it and be like, “BACON!!!” But then we’ll say, “Sorry, this bacon is only for people running for president.” Then he’ll be like, “I’ll run for president; NOW GIVE ME BACON!!!”

Otherwise, we need to find someone else to do like a suicide mission to make drastic cuts to government, and I don’t know who else is up for that. Romney is too much of a politician wanting to be liked by everybody to do something like that. Huckabee probably doesn’t even know what a deficit is. And it doesn’t matter what Sarah Palin will do since she can’t get elected since everyone hates her (What’s up with her? I hate her!).

With Obama’s own budget proposing 7.2 trillion in new debt, we really need someone who is going to take Obama and rub his nose in it and say, “Look what you did! Look what you did!” Chris Christie can do that. If the GOP just gets another person who is going to punt the issue down the road, then it gets rather pointless since we’re just helping the country hobble along a bit further until it collapses. I’m not saying the nominee has to be Chris Christie, but he should be the model for our nominee. So which Republican candidate is willing to put on 500 more pounds? Other than Huckabee, of course.

  1. I’d correct your headline but I don’t want to get moderated!

In a desperate situation I could accept Christie’s wishy-washiness on immigration and gun control because, unlike Palin, I think he’s electable. If he ran I’d vote for him. Besides, having a president who looks like a Batman villain would be cool. Especially if he raised his voice every time he said NUCLEAR WEAPONS and then laughed manically.

  2. It was George Will who said the government’s basic roles are “Protect the borders, deliver the mail, get out of the way.” Christie is capable of the latter two; I’m not sure about the first. I would, however, settle for him.

  3. Are? ARE only hope? I know you wrote a book. I own the book! Don’t you proofread? I’m illiterate and having my mom type this. Other than that, though…total agreement! We need someone who can just reduce all arguments to “There is no more money for that good-sounding program.”

  4. Chris Christie is are only hope. If only are ignorant populace would realize Chris Christie is ARE only hope!

Are favorite party needs a candidate, and are favorite candidate needs ARE support!

I am looking to do gay stuff with other men.

  5. I think Christie just doesn’t want to run anymore, for president or bacon. All that running he had to do for governor just made him sweaty.

Ways for Chris Christie to get to the Oval Office without running:
    1) Coast to the Presidency(Obama has made it a downhill fight)
    2) Ride the wave to the Presidency(unless it involves a bathing suit)
    3) Ascend to the Presidency(like in an elevator – no stairs!)
    4) Win the Presidency(Isn’t that how Obama won – dumb luck?)

  6. We are never going to elect a president who will send all the illegals back to where they came from. Christie is a strong fiscal conservative and has some conservative social values that make him a hugely (fatly?) better candidate than the RINOs I keep hearing. Find someone who is moderately conservative fiscally and has high conservative values as a running mate and we have a chance. Otherwise, screw it. I will not vote for Romney or F*ckabee.

  7. If he was our only hope I would be more than satisfied. And hey, man, you gotta let up on the fat guys. Let me tell you something about fat guys: they are warm, they are usually well grounded, and they are hardly ever egomaniacs! The exact opposite of our presiding commander in chief. What’s not to love?

  8. He’s wrong on guns, and wrong on guns is wrong on personal liberty – it’s only a question of how else it will manifest itself. Chris Christie? He’s a step in the right direction for New Jersey, but for America? No thanks. He’s still from frikkin Jersey…

  9. Burma, I am a conservative and responsible for my sammich. Christie can get his own sammich, this one is mine and no one is entitled to it.

Christie is like mccain, and I think he may have eaten hucklebee.

He would make an excellent budget director or deficit Czar. I can see him now: Cut the budget and get in my belly!!

When the twit in the White House had Christie over for dinner, we missed our opportunity to cover that one in syrup.

  10. Ive been giving this a lot of thought and reading about Christies record and past the last few days. In short I now would vote against him in the primary and maybe not vote for him in the general. I don’t need a social crusader in the white house and would rather not have one. (people feel bullied and it destroys the movement) We desperately need a fiscal conservative and an America first military realist who will pick originalist rather then activist judges like the left does.

    Pro’s
*First R who has the Reagan ability to take on the MSM and win while simultaneously persuading regular folk. (our desperation to have this again may be blinding us)
*His Fiscal record as governor is a lot like Palins. Similar length of time he took on unions while she took on Oil and establishment GOP.

    Con’s
-bad/poor record on immigration, guns, judges, Islam, etc…

I uncovered enough things to give pause.
*Sup court Judges especially are nightmares that last decades.
*Immigration I am more leniant/realistic on but the border has to be closed first
*I don’t think he would make a gun grab and probably couldn’t get enough democrats to go along with it anyway

The Gun lobby learned a lesson that big oil , fannie and freddie, and etc..learned a long time ago and unions have yet to learn…. buy off your main party and enough stragglers in the other party to block any majority action against you.

  11. In Soviet Russia, comments write you.

    NO_MO_BAMA says did NOT say:

…….are only hope? BTW, I am racist against black people.

    NO_MO_BAMA did say:
    …….are only hope?

must have been the same damn hacker who changed ‘our’ to ‘are’ then back again.

but anyway, stolen from hate filled talk radio caller:

Vote for Christie, he’s too fat to bow to our enemies.

  12. A funny idea, what if the GOP did not run anyone for president in 2012???

-lot of democrats wouldn’t show up since Obama would have no competition (big congress gains)
-Obama does not appear stronger for having defeated some McCain part 2
-average citizens would realize they are not entitled to having a conservative to bad mouth and reject

  13. Hold the bacon AND Christie. I like deMint! He’s a real conservative who isn’t afraid of the media. He’s solid on every issue. Why accept a compromise candidate? Come on, CLMSNMAN, back me on this! (Where are those Tigers when you need them?)
