It’s not a real movie (yet), just a concept trailer from a guy who wants to turn it into a movie.

Sort of a paranoid liberty-lover’s “Red Dawn”
_______________

The world reels with the turmoil of war, geological disaster, and economic collapse, while Americans continue to submerge themselves in illusions of safety and immunity. While rights are sold for security, the federal government, swollen with power, begins a systematic takeover of liberty in order to bring about a New World Order.

Americans, quarantined to militarized districts, become a population ripe for tyrannical control.

Fearmongering, terrorism, police state, martial law, war, arrest, internment, hunger, oppression, violence, resistance – these are the new terms by which Americans define their existence. Neighbor is turned against neighbor as the value of the dollar plunges to zero, food supplies are depleted, and everyone is a terror suspect. There are arrests. Disappearances. Bio attacks. Public executions of those even suspected of dissent. Even rumors of concentration camps on American soil.

This is the backdrop to an unfolding story of resistance. American militias prepare for guerrilla warfare. There are mass defections from the military as true Patriots attempt to rally around the Constitution and defend liberty, preparing a national insurgency against federal forces, knowing full well this will be the last time in history the oppressed will be capable of organized resistance.

It is a time of transition, of shifting alliance, of mass awakening and mass execution. It is an impending storm, an iron-gray morning that puts into effect decades of over-comfort and complacency, and Americans wake up to an occupied homeland. It is a time of lists – black list, white list, and those still caught in the middle, those who risk physical death for their free will and those who sell their souls to maintain their idle thoughts and easy comforts. It is in this Gray State that the perpetuation of human freedom will be contested, or crushed.

Is it the near future, or is it the present? The Gray State is coming – by consent or conquest. This is battlefield USA.

  1. Nightmare? Harvey we are in the beginnings of a Full-Scale NEO-Bolshevik Revolution and Captian Ahab Hussein Obama is in piloting thew ship. He will win re-election due to massive voter fraud and media corruption. That film is a self-fullfilling prophecy.

Our only hope is to go SCORCHED EARTH on this Communist mole Obama before its too late. A little help from the US Military would be welcome but I think they will just sit back and let Joseph Stalin #2 destroy this once great nation.

We did save the Soviet Union from Communism! They owe us. Maybe we could get the Russian president to persuade Obama from going down the Bolshevik road. That path only will lead to death and Soylent Green.

  2. I don’t count out Americans so easily. There is a reason we’re the best country on Earth, and it has little to do with geography. But this is still a film I’d like to see made. Cautionary tales don’t hurt, and they sometimes help.

  3. I was trying to say something metaphorical on this, but it won’t come out right.

Okay, here’s something: What do you do for a gangrenous leg?

    Right. You amputate it.

Right now. Before it kills you.

Not going to happen. We no longer possess the knowledge. (Oh sure, some of us do but our culture does not.)

No, we’re going to run this great country of ours right into the fiscal garbage heap of history. Sounds painless if it weren’t for that giant cliff we have to drive over to get there.

“No one is more of a slave than he who thinks himself free without being so.” -Goethe

  4. No Jimmy. The moment things start to fall apart, Americans will do what they always do…wake up. Our current culture sucks, no doubt. But, believe it or not, it isn’t at its lowest point ever. We’ve been there several times. And every time, the same thing happens. People wake up to reality and set things right.

The most recent example? The 60s and 70s. Our culture hit all new lows during that time. And we elected an Obama-type president even, named Carter. What happened? We got rid of him and elected Reagan. Americans are who they are because they are engaged in their own politics when necessary. And most Americans do let things slide…to a point. Because we have more important things to worry about. But when things get too out of hand, we always straighten it out. When I see a divergence from that historical pattern, I’ll buy into your doom and gloom. Until then…I am convinced that Americans are still the greatest people on this planet.

Because, quite frankly, it makes no sense to harbor such a pessimistic view of our own populace while at the same time believing that America is the best. America is the people. If you lose hope in the people, then you lose hope in the country.

  5. Not doom and gloom, Keln, reality. I see it every day everywhere I look – people, radio, TV, web… Yes, even many so called Conservatives and their blogs.

Perhaps I should elaborate on the amputation metaphor. We’re adding 1.5 Trillion per yearn to our National Debt. That’s now, actual borrowings on the books. But our accruing liabilities – obligations for the future based on law – are accumulating at more like 10 trillion / year. And now, the two parties are arguing over which Medicare plan is better when both bankrupt us about equally fast. Why are they arguing? Because they both know full well that the American people are not ready to hear the truth.

That Medicare should be amputated – right now!

Oh, gee, Jim, you’re threatening the Baby Boomers! Too fricken bad. Let them/me DIE. We helped create this mess, and we owe it to our kids to clean it up.

To be honest, Romney should advocate the complete, phased abolition of Medicare – a near amputation of it at soon as possible. It ALONE will sink the country. But it’s only part of the full picture.

    * Obamacare and it’s huge Federal bureaucracy and economic impact.
    * 110 million people on government entitlements that only grow into the future.
    * Roughly half the population working for all levels of government.
    * A Federal Reserve system that is a complete fraud, out of control and virtually unstoppable.
    * The rule of law is gone. The Savings and Loan crisis of the 80’s saw thousands of bankers prosecuted. Obama/Pelosi/Reid’s latest disaster was 70 time larger. Heard of any criminal prosecutions lately? Is Romney going to go after them? Give me a break. (Sorry, Seanmahair, but YOUR own moral code is vastly superior to his!)

(This list could be pages but there’s a length limit here…)

I do believe in the country – the ideas expressed in our Constitution – but I have no illusions about undoing 100 years of political malfeasance in an election or two.

So, reality. America is not ready for the end of the free lunch. Until she is, there’s only calamity in our future, but hopefully not as bad as depicted in that trailer Harvey posted above.

  6. I found that movie trailer to be extremely disturbing, I like it. The sad part is that there are way to many people out there who would be all to comfortable living on their knees.

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”
    -Samuel Adams

  8. This video is probably a likely conclusion to our current system of government. I’m sorry to disagree with you patriots that still have hope for the future of this country, I wish I could feel that hope too. But in reality too many of our fellow Americans not only buy into the ideals of the current regime, they wholeheartly embrace it, and believe they are right on such a deep level, that not even a future depicted in this video could change their minds.
Don’t get me wrong even though I have lost faith, I will still be one of the people that would fight to the death against this type of tyrannical government, but it’s seemingly inevitable that the American people we so love will sit back like sheep and let this future come to pass.
