Well, in spite of how bad things look there, it’s still possible that an urban Renaissance could bring it back – under the right Federal Government. Only a chance, mind you.
Otherwise, by about 2020, just bulldoze the part that hasn’t already be returned to farmland.
I actually went to that link posted, Saddam Hussein was given the key to Detroit. In a way, that makes a whole lot if sense.

Trick question! You can’t carve a date on a tombstone that’s been tagged, smashed, and stolen.
I live in the Metro Detroit area. Believe me when I tell you that everything you hear about it is not true. It is worse. One of the few cases where the media cannot sensationalize it enough.
