Fear it? The only ones who fear it are the families of all those poor birds that get splattered by windmills and fried by solar panels.
Like everything, since they are afraid of nuclear power, that must be the reason rational people don’t like windmills. I remember the fight over Seabrook in NH 30 years ago, according to them, we’d all be dead because of it by now. Wow, they were wrong, how unusual.
I do not fear a clean energy future. I fear an unaffordable clean energy future that consigns generations to poverty.
If nuclear power is so bad, why did we bend over backwards to let Iran have it?

The most recently activated nuclear powerplant in the US, went on line in 1996, it’s construction began in 1973. (Watts Bar) Here is a question. If the most technologically advanced nuclear country on the face of the earth has put a deadstop on it’s nuclear powerplant building and development, does anyone on earth with a right mind think that Iran should be spending half of their GDP developing nuclear energy, when they are the 3rd greatest producer of oil on the earth?
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission hasn’t issued a license, in the United States, to build a new reactor since 1978. But it’s not a problem if Iran wants to play around with stuff. Seriously?
