A new study shows that 2 hours of social media doubles your risk of social isolation.
Really? Because I’ve spent all day asking my Facebook friends about it and none of them agree.

“risk” of social isolation? Saying that two hours of social media double your risk of social isolation is like saying that saving $1,000 per week increases the risk that you’ll get rich. I don’t like social media much, but I’ll spend more time on it if it’s necessary to keep me socially isolated.
Hey! Farmtopia Island isn’t gonna harvest itself pal!
“Rihar built a wheat thresher out of coconuts in Farmtopia Island”
Ha! No social isolation here my friend. BAM!
“Social” media? Like everything the liberals create, its name is the exact opposite of what it really seeks to do. On the upside, since so many people spent 2(+++) hours a day being told the D(bag) couldn’t possibly lose, they didn’t feel the need to leave and vote 5 times, so I guess it’s good for something.
Be careful what you wish for (mindless morons who believe whatever they’re told to believe), it might come true.
There’s a vacant cell in Massachusetts this morning, so for once, I woke up to good news.
“vacant cell in Massachusetts”?
I don’t understand the reference…
Aaron Hernandez offed himself. Guess he was overcome with…guilt hahahahaha, yeah right.
Probably an underhanded ploy by the Patriots to free up cap space. Goodell will probably fine them another draft pick based upon his latest Ouija board ruminations.
With the exception of “social drinking”, using the word “social” to modify a noun (or, in the case of “drinking”, a gerund), negates that noun. Social life isn’t really life, social justice is anything but justice, and social media don’t have a whole lot to do, thank God, with socializing.
It’s a good thing blogs are regarded as social media.
“…social isolation.”
Well I -am- saving quite a bit of money by not having to buy personal grooming items. I’ve saved almost twenty-three dollars the the past year by not having to buy shampoo so it’s not all bad.
If one is talking with other people, albeit through the format of the internet, how does that make one also isolated socially? Why is face to face contact the be all and end all of social interaction?
