I Don’t Know Why They Had to Be TOLD to Do This

A new law requires the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to advance research on high-tech forecasts and computer models, with an emphasis on accuracy and longer warning times for major weather events.

Hey! They should try using those models that predict global warming – 97% infallible!

  1. So what have they been doing before this?
This is good, now they can close the schools anything involving government unions 3 days before it snows an inch (in March, because…global warming) instead of 1 day, PROGRESS!!
They even tow peoples cars because of a “snow emergency” when there isn’t a drop of snow on the ground. I wonder if the fact that they make about $10,000 per street has anything to do with that?

  2. I don’t know which is worse, being told a storm is going to be horrible and it turns out benign or being told that nothing much is going to happen and then being socked with 2 feet of “nothing much”. In the end it is all a guessing game. It may be an educated guess, with high probability but it ain’t math so their ain’t no certainty.
