Monday Night Open Thread

While you and I have gone back to work — it is a Monday after all — my mother didn’t go to work today. She’s been on vacation that last few days.

My mother was in New York, visiting my daughter, and flew back today. This past weekend, they went to Ellis Island. They planned to look up names of ancestors who processed through there. I couldn’t give her any names, though. But, she wasn’t really disappointed.

SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT!!

The whole story is on my little blog.

Do you have a story to share? A joke to tell? Some random thoughts you want to let us know about? Now’s the time. It’s Monday Night Open Thread.

Who wants to start?

  1. 11:46 PM Take a guess what “story” CNN finds more important than the “possible terrorist attack” that killed and maimed little kids? Un f’ing believable.
It’s time to start putting these people in mental hospitals…or Gitmo.

  2. Listen, and understand! The jihadist’s are out there! They can’t be bargained with. They can’t be reasoned with, they don’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And they absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

  3. The great clarinetist, band leader, and author Artie Shaw was born May 23, 2010. He was also, unfortunately for him, a slow learner; he married eight times. Stay single; I’m certainly going to.

    • When you are on your second honeymoon while still breastfeeding you just might grow up to be a great clarinetist. Hey Artie, the mouthpiece goes on the other end.
